What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I polished a friends white SantaFe before our group went out for dinner. I used 3D Speed, CBeast, orange Lake County Force Hybrid combo. A quick 45 minute, me buff, he wipe attack.

He had ran it thru a touch free wash ahead of time. Interesting how the car had a blue tinted film from the car wash all over it….No surprise. A wipe down with a wet rag removed it. The car is 3 yrs old and never polished until now.

Sorry no picture. A change of clothes and we recessed with our wives and friends for an evening on a patio viewing a beautiful sunset in AZ.

Your house will become a popular meet-up spot before going out for dinner.

“I” didn’t do any detailing today but some poor mobile detailer in Oxford MS did some detailing…for free!

My daughters roommate has her car washed every so often, they always come to the house and wash it. She always tell the guy to text her when he’s close and she’ll pull the car out of the garage and pull it around to the front of the house and he’ll wash it.

My daughter and the other two roommates always parks in front of the house. Well the guy didn’t text her…meanwhile my daughter looked at the cameras looking at the front of the house and saw that her doors were open, she freaked out and went outside.

It was then the mobile detailer realized he made a major error…looked at his paperwork….suv, red, Jaguar…my daughter has a suv, white, bmw!!!

Prior to leaving for school in early August, I did a full detail including decontamination, clay, polish, and topped with Sonax PNS since it had good self cleaning properties.

The car has not been washed since, I even told her a few months ago to run it through the swirl-o-matic since it was so dirty…nope!

She was home for Easter, I told her not to wash it since she would be home for the summer and I wanted to make it my project…oh well.

Now I’m wondering if the guy used a mobile pressure washer or a rinseless, I’m praying pressure washer otherwise I will have a project next month!

Switched over to the Kristal Klar SUMMER concrete for the windshield washer fluid. 1 cap to 1 gal. of water. So much better for removing the summer Buggage from the windshield. I have the 303 tablets on reserve.

Do you use tap water or distilled? I think it's designed to be used with tap water. Do you use it at the recommended dilution?

I started using it last year. Also added it to my winter washer fluid, which I can switch out now.

Got my IK and BH Touchless ready to go for after work lol.

I prefer the concentrate over the concrete version. :)
I actually didn't realize that error until I looked up the product.
Seems like a good product, might have to try it out. Bug guts on the windshield drive me nuts.

Had some time to kill after dropping off my daughter for movie night at school, so FNW...it's been a while!

Had the IK Foam Pro 12 loaded with Bilt-Hamber Touchless and a smaller IK w/ CG's Glossworkz (using it up tire/wheel pre-wash) and got to it.

After running the EN through I began to dry it off. Behind me in the wash was a STUNNING E30 convertible, black/black top and period correct BBS', I complimented the guy on his car as he too was drying his off.

I did a vac, wiped down the back of my p/s seat back and finished with some 3D Mango scent.

I just love these KN wheels on my EN

That reminds me of one of the Alfa wheel options...

Yeah people have been comparing them to the Stelvio rims but they look even more Taurus SHO rims

I LOVE the new front end...ALOT, kinda jealous if I'm honest. The 2022-23's front end is controversial and I get why people don't like it. That said, I like the front end, just wish the black was broke up some, surprised noone has painted those corners of the bumpers yet

The next gen EN is supposed to get the 2.5L turbo from the Sonata N-line, it makes 290 hp but 310 lbs ft of torque, a 21 ft lbs gain...before "tuning", more would be better...ALWAYS

Comparing the two, I like yours better. I don't know how to describe it but it just looks good. Maybe it's the color scheme on the new one or something but I do not like that particular blue/orange one. Something feels off to me.

Yeah IMO the Perf Blue doesn't quite look as good on the EN like it does on the VN and that strip on the bottom is actually red but a red with a certain amount of orange in it

Took the g/f's Cruze to the touch-free wash before she had to head out for the day. I had 1.5 oz of DIY Detail Incredible Suds and 1 gallon of distilled in the IK Foam Pro 12. Her car was dirty and it was surprising how much road film this amount knocked down from her car. Now to be fair I could see a slight and I mean SLIGHT film left after the wash but it still looked great

Almost forgot the rear deck. You can kinda see the 50/50 thru the rear window.

Vacuumed but didn't shampoo or anything. Driver floor mat probably needs that.

As many of you have said BH Touchless is awesome. The cleaning power is great.

Followed up with Reset then Wet Coat. Getting rain tonight which is going to dump all that pollen debris all over it again. Messy time of year.

Nice job.

Had Absolute come in and got to try it today. Had a lot of pollen on my wife’s car, so I put honeydew foam on it, let it soak, sprayed it off, then used a pump sprayer to apply Absolute. Dried off with Dream maker drying aid. Pleased with how easy Abs was to work with and how it turned out.

Need to do a buff and polish but this will do for now.
