Non here either my local car wash will give me 20% off for a Christmas sale so $8.80 for a basic wash

I had the 37.00 a month one but after my issue with the knock sensor going bad this past summer after 1 year of MANY washes, including underbody wash, I figured THAT ruined the sensor, so I down graded to the basic wash.

Using a quality, pre-wash like Bilt-Hamber Touchless or Auto-foam, also this Pure:est alkaline snow foam, will pre-wash that wintry muck off before you go through the touch-free. Now it might have the slightest traffic film there, depending upon your coating but still, car will be 90% clean

Most of the touch free washes over here won't let you bring your own chemicals. No pre-wash, no wheel wash, no bringing your own bucket and just using their water for rinsing. They say the unknown mix of chemicals could wreck their filtration system. Sounds plausible, but if you're using your own then you're not paying for theirs. I've never seen a monthly subscription available at any of our touch free washes, only the ones where they wash (scratch) your car for you.

Is that a "coin-op" wash, where you get out and spray down your car with a wand? What Klasse is talking about is a tunnel you drive through but nothing touches the car except the water spray. Apologies in advance if I'm telling you something you know.

It's sort of both, most coin-op washes here have 3-4 self wash bays and a tunnel wash at one end, occasionally you'll find a tunnel wash at a gas station, but these are rare now, and then you can find a tunnel wash at wash n scratch places, which is where they do have loyalty subscriptions, the kind of place where you can sit and have a coffee while trained monkeys wash, scratch, and maybe steal stuff from your car. I know someone who had their key ring stolen off their keys at one of these places.

Here's the website for the one I'm looking at. Franchised. I'm now guessing this one is possibly franchised by the detail shop right next door called Man Cave.

They have multiple bays + a tunnel:

Autowash | Touch Free Car Wash | Dog Wash | 20+ Colorado Locations

Maybe I'm reading this all wrong and it is swirl city in the tunnel in hopes you go right next door to schedule paint correction.

The wash I go to is a touch-free, pull in and it does the work. I pre-treat the car before going in or it's sitting on the car with a couple cars infront of me and then I go in. Because the temps are cooler I'm not worried about it sitting on the car too long, doesn't seem to have bothered my paint

Dog wash? What, do you put him on the roof before you go in? I think I'm getting altitude-induced hallucination.

PS Coincidentally I'm reading an article today about some mountain climbers who got altitude-induced hallucination. Maybe when I was 7 I hallucinated that whole snowball episode. Oh wait, that was another thread.

It did say the touchless was recommended for any vehicle "with attachments"

Do you follow up the touchless wash with a rinseless wash at home or does the combination of your coating and the touchless get the job done for you?

He pre treats with an IK foam pro 12 filled with Alakaline pre wash. Driver it through a touch free tunnel wash (no rotary chamois flaps just uses high pressure sprayers and detergents.

I don’t believe he follows up with a rinseless but I think usually uses a detail spray or drying aid.

This is correct

Now when it's REALLY bad during the winter I don't touch it with anything afterwards because there's always a very light amount of traffic film, so I wait it out till there's a "warm enough" day to do a RW

I did an Absolute Rinse less wash and then polished with Ryobi DA and CarPro Essence plus - awesome results.
 
The Qashqai came back from school having been parked under a tree. It was covered in this little yellow sh1t, I guess it's pollen. I wasn't going to risk wiping it, and I didn't want to wash it, so I used my Big Boi to blow it off. It was harder than I thought it would be, that stuff was a little sticky.

This is where I use my IK Foam Pro 12 with a pre-wash snow foam, a little more work ofcoarse but a simple foam/dwell/rinse/dry and all that crap is gone...plus you know your starting with a clean slate once again (pun intended)

I love what Chip does, I've got all the Overhaulin DVDs, and a few of the M2 Machines 1:64 cars and trucks. His talent for customisation is just exceptional.

I actually got a few stickers made up locally, I couldn't find them anywhere over here, so I found the logo online and found someone with a vinyl cutting machine. Back then the only Foose part I had on my car was a cheap steering wheel cover, lame, yes, but it was all I could find that fit my Holden Crewman Cross 8.
