What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Nice to see some Duragloss being used. 253 is still my go to tire dressing. Aquawax is a great product also! I’ll always have both.

I have always loved the look of #253. But with the advent of ceramic tire dressing, it is a toss-up. I like GRIOTS ceramic tire dressing.

Have you tried Adam's graphene tire dressing

I have not. The 2 I have tried are Griots and TW HS. Found them both to be great.
I have my 2nd bottle of TWHS graphene tire dressing and maybe I got a bad batch but it's not as good as the 1st bottle. I did contact them and they said the formula isn't different but my perf isn't what I'm used to so that bottle might be used for wheelwells as I've got many tire dressings

In what way is it not as good? Durability? Overall appearance? Hydrophobic properties?

It was the appearance and how it laid down and applied compared to the 1st bottle.

Didn’t love the stuff. It was nice but didn’t look better or last longer than anything I have.

Have a ton of products I like a little better so have my 90% full bottle to my neighbor.

Yesterday I ordered 3 new waah buckets. Last year my 3.5 gallon tire & wheel bucket broke its handle, recently my soap wash bucket with measurements broke its handle and my rinse bucket had its handle ring just break off. The thing is, I could've used duct tape on the rinse bucket handle as it's a Pep Boys bucket from the very early 2000's but sometimes you've gotta let stuff go.

So this week I'll have 3 new wash buckets to start making new memories with

I haven’t used a bucket in 10 plus years but I have access to a hose year round.

I know you don't want to hear this now (and I also use 3.5 gal buckets for everything) but Autofiber has a really nice translucent one that's marked in gallons and reasonably priced, and Grit Guard fits. I also see they have that crazy grit guard-y thing I saw in EC Detail's Idrosave video, it's called the Mitt Slide, apparently from Korea, a little more pricey than a Grit Guard/Washboard combo.

Yesterday I took the fam to the mountains for some snow tubing. I encountered that mystical white substance many of you talk about called snow. I rather enjoy taking a filthy car and transforming it into a thing of beauty so I drove through puddles, mud, snow, slush, you name it just to get my car filthy so that I could come home today and go to town. Lo and behold, nothing stuck to the sides of my car and only a little brine collected on the front and rear of my car. I still got in a good wash but it wasn’t the satisfying transformation I was hoping for. Damn ceramic coating struck again.

My last customer also came back for the maintenance wash tutorial and now I can rest easy tonight knowing that he has the supplies and knowledge to maintain his coating. I’m continuing my quest to have the best customer service this side of the Mason Dixon.
