What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Thanks, im not a drying aid guy though so ill skip this one. I dont like using anything with my good drying towels. If i apply anything its always after my rinseless wash is completed

I always use a softer plush mf towel to "apply" the product and a drying towel to mop up anything left over but I understand why you might not wanna use a drying towel to get a protectant in it.

It's not a drying aid persay, maybe I shouldn't have said that but it's used the same way, so I guess that's why I used that comparison

We went to a local farmer's market so my gf could get the lotion that she likes. She also wore said lotion on the way there so there was some interior cleaning to do. Did the front of the car with Xpress and 303. It's a little warm so I stopped there.

Did exactly what I know not to do but time is critical so worked as fast as I could to have a Kamikaze cleaning day. Double meaning with Kamikaze because I was doing this in pretty much the direct Colorado sunshine but worked as fast as I could...

I also hit the side in direct sunlight with Veros Water Spot Removing Wax just after pulling it in because it was drying quick on that side. All in all I think I did OK against the sun but will take another look in a bit.

Never got the cloud cover and rain from the forecast so even grabbed a few outside pictures.

Another 6am maintenance wash on the truck. And took it over to the local garage for a brake check. All good. 10/32 front and 8/32 back.

Thankfully, I've not yet found anything that's garbage. I have each coating but I think that's the only part of their lineup that I've not yet tried.

So far I think ADS is good overall and will be here to stay. I do see consumer demand pushing them into an extensive lineup but hopefully they continue to go slow and release only the needed products that work well.

The weather forecast shows no rain for about a week, so I decided to give the Qashqai an ONR wash, it was only a little dusty with some rain spots in the dust, and the NV twins are holding up really well, so it was a very easy process. Also did the wheels at the end with just a quick spray of ONR, I finished up with a top up of the Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing on.

Done. Really do like the ADS coating. This is the second time using it. I did however forget how much extra time it takes me to apply this one comapred to mohs evo. Being a quartz coating i am much more aware when wiping off so i dont leave a high spot somewhere.

Any way, ill be curious to see how this one holds up..it'll get mostly touchless carwashes and not so many hand washes. I gave them the shpeal...you can lead a horse to water but ya cant make them drink.

Finally have some nice dry week days ahead so took the morning and cleaned up all 3 cars. Finish finished the Telluride with 303 Graphine spray coating, F150 got PA cosmic, and the Vette was topped off with PA cosmic and High gloss.

I forgot how easy 303 graphene is to use, even on Black cars.

Had a dealer offer me more than I paid for the C7 to trade it in on a C8, but I cant see myself in a C8. They do nothing for me.

C8 appeal for me depends a lot on color; I could see owning a white one and the availability of a hard top convertible would be nice/convenient.

In 5 years I think we’ve had our C7 targa top off maybe 3 times at most; it’s just a PITA to deal with. C8 also seems like a big car…not something I’m fond of. Also (IMO) too pricey for a Chevy; guessing a new mid-level C8 HTC would be $80-$85k…too rich for my blood.

I saw this one near where I walk my dogs back in February, I thought it was quite boring in white, and it seems big, but I've never seen any of the previous 3 models to compare it with. My old mechanic had a couple of C3s, I love that shape, but this doesn't really do it for me. The owner was standing near it smoking, he said he wouldn't let himself smoke inside it, I didn't have the heart to tell him he was still going to stink up his $200k car.

C8’s seem to look porkier in pictures, perhaps because they usually show the entire car with that big fat back end. I probably subconsciously block out that part when viewing in person.
