What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

After 2 days of rain, rain and more rain, the EN FINALLY got some attention

Today's cleaning was ADS Hero and the GD method, no problem and the self cleaning of my Gyeon Q2 Pure EVO and last booster is REALLY working out

The tires have ADS Ghost which was applied over a week ago IIRC and these 2 storms plus a couple washes and tire cleanings...THIS is the result after drying the tires & wheels today...AWESOME

Not normally a tire sealant fan, but I'm keen to give Ghost a try.

Maybe start with your Ranger

Most likely will go on my fathers, that would be the ultimate test for it.

Ghost has yet to arrive in Australia, but should be on its way soon. Hero basically sold out instantly.

Was that the dental student from Florida? Who started doing YouTube videos...and then ultimately stopped posting?

Yes.
I’ve seen his videos as you know for many years… And the dude seemingly disappeared right?

Well a couple of weeks ago on one of his vids I replied directly to 1 of his comments asking “what ever happened to you”?

To my surprise he actually replied and said he did go on to become a dentist, but then changed careers and got into real estate and had a family and today he’s traveling the world when he can. So he’s doing good…

I asked him if he’s still into detailing and he said he still has all his stuff but his cars super dirty cuz he never has time for cleaning it anymore. Lol

I’ve never actually seen any of his posts, just know him from his videos.

So today I used my Eley hose, hose reel and watering tools for the first time on my Tacoma. Those Eley products are fantastic.
My house has all half inch plumbing so I ran a dedicated one inch PEX line from where it enters the house over to the garage. Needed to do that so I could up my Gallons Per Minute and allow the Eley to perform like it can.
Had actually purchased the Eley hose nozzle with a couple different tips back in April but my half inch plumbing wasn't cutting it with the Eley. So I returned it after I tried it out.
Several months later it occurred to me to run the dedicated one inch line. I haven't remeasured the GPM but it should be about 8 GPM.
Out of my 1/2 inch p.umbing I was barely getting over 4 GPM. I also cranked up my water pressure a fair amount. Cranked it up a smidgen over 70 PSI. I swear the Eley cleaning tip has some good pressure. Don't really need a pressure washer which I have a small ele tric but that's probably retired. The Eley is impressive and build quality is superb.

75-80 psi is usually the upper limit that is recommended. I had replaced the pressure regulator a couple years ago and just never had it set very high. Mine was reading about 50 psi before I cranked it up. 60 psi is what many regulators are set to. Yeah 70 psi works better than 50 and a one inch line flows better than a half inch line.

My water pressure is about 100 psi...every time I have a plumber here for something they try to tell me I need a regulator and I say "why, I like having good water pressure" And then they tell me it's bad for the plumbing, etc. Try looking up the pressure capacity of copper tubing. PEX, maybe. Besides those regs are crap, just another thing to go wrong. I would argue that having a whole-house filter to take out the rust and grit has a more positive effect on your plumbing fixtures than lowering the pressure, but don't get me started on plumbing codes because then you will get me started on backflow preventers on outside faucets, etc.
