What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

70 psi seems to be good enough for the Eley components to perform pretty well. 100 psi coming out of that cleaning tip would be crazy pressure.

You haven't LIVED till you have 100 psi water pressure--I live at the bottom of a hill, I think that has something to do with it.

One would think that does have something to do with it considering gravity and all. I live at the top of a hill.
At my last house we lived at the bottom of a hill, we had good water pressure too, till we didn't. The massive water pipe at the top of the hill burst, and turned our street into a river, it took them about 5 hours to turn it off, it has to be a gradual process so they don't damage pipes back down the line. The street was impassable the next day, but not to me, I had my Pathfinder then, so I drove up and down the street, till they told me to stop.

I have lived in houses that were at top of hills and houses that were at the bottom of hills. The house I grew up in was at the convergence of a couple hills and last house at the bottom. Once during a rain storm the liner on the above ground swimming pool burst on the house which was two houses up the hill. All that water ended up in our basement. Not to mention driveway flooded out many times during heavy rains.
So having experienced both I'll take the top of the hill.

Boys always like to play in the mud...

I'm at the bottom of the hill...but not quite all the way at the bottom, so we never flood...my next door neighbor, on the other hand... sometimes winds up with water in the basement (or at least in the garage) like you did, as they are bit lower than me as the terrain flattens out.

That we do, this was back in 2006.

So today I did a wash on the EN, a touchless using 2 oz of ADS Shampoo and 2 oz of Bilt-Hamber Touchless but before that I cleaned the tires w/ ADS Tire Cleaner because I feel like I cross contaminated ADS Ghost because I used a previous applicator with some other tire product on it

After scrubbing the tire, washing the car and drying I could still see a good "base" but it was now more neutral looking for lack of a better term. The pic you see here is 1 coat of Ghost, using a virgin applicator it even applied better and the looks speak for themselves

I'm about to go out there and apply a 2nd coat. It supposed to rain but this product LAUGHS at rain

Rain from the south is making its way to us but before it hit I rinseless washed/wiped down my daily and put her away until the storms pass.

I know I've said it before, but those wheels really make it distinct, especially with that colour. And the last pic should be in the best reflection shot thread.

I guided my "mentee" through detailing his first high end car. It was ceramic coated in July and he had never worked on a soft top and wanted to make sure he was properly maintaining the coating. The customer was pleased with the outcome and as we talked he might bring his wife's SUV my way to get coated. I don't have an after picture but to be a teen with his pre-teen brother they did well.

Did a MUCH needed wash on the g/f Cruze this evening! For hers I decided on Ech2o as a RW, the only way I use it

The tires were scrubbed with Gyeon Q2 Tire Cleaner and wheels cleaned with Griot's Garage Citrus degreaser, came out clean, which I needed because I applied a fresh coat of ADS Ghost and what you see here is 1, cured coat

Up next was the EN and another RW, this time I reached for Labocosmetica Idrosave RW. The tires and wheels cleaned with Brake Buster (tires NOT scrubbed because I applied the Ghost fresh the other day) and barrels & spokes cleaned

Although never in the C&C for FuelFed I always make sure the EN looks it's very best, especially tomorrow because it's Ferrari Day in Winnetka FuelFed

Busy day. Right after cutting grass did the Maintenace wash on the truck. Usual fair. Good interior and finished with wet wax as the drying aid. Reapplied Griots ceramic tire shine. All said and done spent 3.5 hours on the grass and truck. And of course it is raining tonight. Going to get a few days of that hurricane rain in PA.

Ah, now I know who it was that put Wet Wax back into my thoughts, I knew someone had mentioned it recently when I decided to use it when drying the FJ after its last wash. I forgot how good it works, and looks.

TWHS Wet Wax is VERY underrated, the Ultimate drying aid

With daylight hours quickly diminishing, it looks like it’s getting into rinseless season. I did have quite a bit of mud on the sides from driving around on wet roads after Helene dumped about 6 inches of rain on my city. I foamed on Reset and followed up with Eco Wash and dressed the tires with Darkside. I do like the glow my car gives in the setting sun. The darkening effect of Gyeon Syncro is noticeable when there is no glare or shadows.
