What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Meguiars changed hyperwash? It was great as is. Glad to hear it’s even better, but I liked the old scent a lot. While subtle, it was very nice.

I got the impression it was just in another size bottle with a different scent but not really changed

Did a rinseless wash on the CRV today. Used Duragloss 932 on the paint and glass then used Road Warrior on the wheels and tires. Dressed the tires with Aqua Gloss and the wheels, paint and glass with my Optimum hybrid drying aid.

Also did a pre prewash on the Tacoma with Feynlab rinseless. Just washed. Didnt clean wheels or tires or use any drying aids. Planning on starting tomorrow to do a full detail on the Tacoma. Iron remover, touchless wash, bucket wash, clay bar, polish, seal, wax.
So i decided to try the DFB method of using iron remover.

With that method the iron remover gets sprayed on the dry paint first. After a short dwell an alkaline touchless is foamed on top of the iron remover. That dwells s bit then the vehicle gets rinsed and next the vehicle gets foamed again and contact washed.

i decided to wash it today so tomorrow i can apply the iron remover to the dry paint and the truck shouldnt be too dirty.

The gallon version is still available. I used the version that is available in a 32 oz bottle that has a watermelon scent and is a darker shade of red in color. They do not advertise a difference in performance. I'll need to experiment with the new version more to see if its just a placebo effect on my end or if there is more to it than just a new scent and color.

Also on the new label instead of it stating a dilution ratio of 400:1 it states a dilution ratio of 1 oz to 3 gallons which from my math is pretty much the same.

Have you used DG Aqua Wax before?

I tried the Mr. Cartoon Tire Coat yesterday for the 1st time. 2 coats after proper prep and I must say it’s looking pretty damn good.

Thanks to Klasse Act for making me aware of this product.
Comparison to the Turtle Wax coating (for you)? This is a white liquid, unlike the black TW, right?

PS How much was it?

Glad you like it Ric, hope the customer aporeciates all you did to prep it properly to give it that look

ADS Ghost is what I'm currently using, not that I fell out with Mr. Cartoon but it's because of the condition I have, I think we've all got it to some extent

Looking forward to hearing more thoughts from you Ric in the future about it

It's white w/blue tint, NOT black like that old stuff, both have that bluish tint though

$13.99+tax
This one is a bit more of a lotion/gel consistency and is white in color. The Endura is liquid like water which was good & bad. Good coverage but bad because you had to be careful not to drip on unwanted areas + it was a pain to remove if it got on your hands.

This one sort of spreads like Armor All tire gel with a hint of Meguiars Endurance Gel because it goops up the applicator but nowhere near as much as Endurance. The scent is decent.

It’s pretty easy to apply, not too finicky as far as needing to level out. Looks really impressive especially the next day and feels like it’s going to last a good long while. I’ll keep you guys posted.

I did 2 layers on 2 vehicles and there’s still a ton left in the bottle.

Looks wise, they both look good. Endura has a bit more plasticy look but not bad by any means. This one has a bit more natural tire gel look to it and it’s really nice and rich black with just the right amount of shine. They’re both good. Splitting hairs.

Glad you like it Ric, hope the customer aporeciates all you did to prep it properly to give it that look

I did it on my dads car & truck. He just bought this new set of tires so it was the perfect candidate. Truck has big tires and it’s looking good on there too.

And you know what, they have a whitewall tire on the label of this stuff so I’m going to call their customer service line and find out if they’re really trying to say this stuff can be used to keep whitewalls clean. If they say yes I’m going to test it out. That would make this product super impressive. Stay tuned.

I have this product as well and really like it

Yup, certainly no complaints so far.

That's why I only use it on the backs of tires. I still have most of a bottle left, out of the two I started with.

I gave the FJ a quick tidy up, it's going in for a service tomorrow. Vacuumed the front footwells and cleaned the rubber mats with ONR. Wiped the doors, dash and steering wheel with Cockpit Premium. And gave the outside a QD with Ech2o, mainly to remove the water run marks, again.

I know most people see it as a downgrade, but I love vinyl flooring! On a daily driver, its sheer bliss...............................no carpet to vacuum, just wipe it over.

Gave the Camaro a wash. Been over a month.

Hybrid wash with an Auto foam pretreat. AutoFoam definitely more stout with my PNW grime than Touchless.

Some before and afters pre wash.

Did a rinseless follow up. With hybrid washes being a thing I did a mix of Absolute and DiY…. Was good.

Did a 1 bucket with the BRS.

Water afterwards. I think it’s more milky due to Absolute not dirt.

And for rinsless with a sponge the Mitt Slide is GOATED
