I’ve worked with the Kranzle K1622 a handful of times and I was expecting alot more from it. I’m sure it’s built to last but it doesn’t even come close to approaching the coin op and is more like the Ryobi than anything, which for costing an extra 1k I think is pretty underwhelming.
It’s funny that those are the measured numbers but they actually claim to have slightly higher numbers at 1.7gpm / 1600psi
I honestly don’t see how it’s worth an extra $1,000
For US customers, the 1622 only exists because Matt has exclusivity on the 1322. Because other retailers wanted to sell the same thing, Kranzle modified the 1622 with total stop as well as being able to run on a 15-amp circuit (the 1322 needs a 20-amp), which makes it better suited to older homes or for mobile detailers running off a generator.
It's that lack of amps which limits to full potential of the 1622, that's why its very lean, and why you can't see the appeal...........................I'd be the same. In Australia, because we have higher voltage circuits, we can run these machines at full potential, hence the higher flow rates. In this case, the extra spend buys you something.
As far as those bottles, they’re clear like the MJJC V2? Or frosted clear bottles? Either ways $20 per bottle is ridiculous. It at least better come with a sprayer but still why pay that price per bottle?
The bottle issue is for the frosted clear Pressol hand sprayers that he has been trying to perfect for over 6 years now. The latest "Pro-Series" were touted as finally being perfect after many improvements and revisions. The internals of the spray head were improved, and the bottles fluorinated to make them more chemically resistant. They apparently fixed the tip splitting by going with stainless steel, and a new silicone tube with wire retailers to prevent falling off the weighted filter or inlet to the sprayer. Last week, he posted a video displaying his life achievement, that the Pressol's were perfect.
Within two days, the stainless-steel tips were rusting in customer hands............................because Pressol Germany accidentally made them from steel. Then the fancy pickup straws were being cut in half by the wire retainer. And the latest being high alkaline products turning the bottles from clear to brown. All this despite the following quote -
The ProSeries sprayer has undergone rigorous, in-depth chemical durability testing in collaboration with Matthias from the engineering department at Pressol.
And now this is posted on the product listing -
We are currently investigating an issue with the ProSeries bottle discoloring when using high-pH chemicals, like P&S Brake Buster, Shine Supply Wise Guy, and Angelwax Vision. It is recommended that you avoid using this spray bottle with similar high-ph chemicals to avoid discoloring the bottle. Note this is only a cosmetic issue, so if the appearance of the bottle isn’t a concern to you, the sprayer can continue to be used as normal.
We are also investigating a separate issue with the flexible suction tube when used with adhesive removers, like CARPRO TarX or Koch Chemie Eulex. It is recommended that those chemicals not be used with the sprayer at this time.
We are actively working with Pressol on finding the root cause and determining the corrective action.
So, if all this "testing" was done, how come they didn't find these issues BEFORE they were put on sale, before customers pre-ordered, before customers handed over $20 a bottle?
On one hand, I kinda feel sorry for him, he's sunk so much money and effort into these things. But on the other, I just don't know why they have wasted all this effort and still have a dud product. The clear bottles were never intended for car cleaning chemicals, in fact they were always called "Household Sprayers". It's the kinked black and red plastic bottles that were chemically resistant, likewise the industrial spray head.......................................but they can't put a label on them because of the unique shape, and the whole matching label thing has been the goal from the beginning.
I have the previous version, but they otherwise look the same as the new ones. (These weren't bought from OG by the way). They look great and love the matching labels. However, the Kawzar Mercury 360 are streets ahead better, be that the build quality, superior trigger action, better pickup tube, superior atomization.
