What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

At $89 for a Ryobi with the same specs, I'd rather throw the away and keep replacing them honestly.
I still have a 1600 Ryobi that is 4 years old and I use it 10 times a month and it still works.
It was $68 on a Black Friday sale...

The main benefit of the Kranzle's is the serviceability, in theory you'd get 20 years out of one. From my point of view, the best thing about them is the smoother, quieter sound. No high-pitched screeching, no surging, no ramp up/ramp down. I do however realize it's a lot of money to part with to enjoy that quieter running.

i'm keeping an eye on the new ryobi automotive 1.8gpm to see if that goes on sale

Exactly...I went down the expensive path with an AR Blue. What a waste of money. It lasted exactly as long as an average pressure washer (3-4 years). I'm on a Greenworks $50 special from Jeff B's detailing depot. It's 7 years old and still kicking.

Must be a good pressure washer to repair it instead of just getting a new one.

Yes it’s my gas pressure washer. Ryobi nicer model with Honda engine and idle down.

I mostly use my garage wall mounted ar630tss system these days but gas is king for bigger jobs

@DFB. I don’t feel sorry for him whatsoever.. He’s been on record for being a prick. He acts like he’s earned that right because supposedly those are the perks when you offer “the best” therefore since his products never fail he never has a reason to have to kiss anyones arse [anyone being his customers who pay through the nose]

This sounds like an epic fail and it was highway robbery at $20 per bottle to begin with + tax + shipping. If he had any dignity he’d refund every customer who not only believed his hype but paid their hard earned money for sub par product. You can buy that same crap at the 99cent store!

All that arrogance and talking crap and for what? The customers still wind up with crap. If he spent so much time & effort this would’ve never happened. This reeks of laziness and anything but hard work. The people should demand refunds or file a class action lawsuit because a set of those bottles has to be at least $200+

This is some BS. How stupid can his fanboys be? Smh.

I just don't know why they have wasted all this effort and still have a dud product.

Um...when the guy in charge is not a technical person? Remember when GM hired Bob Lutz as the product guru? And the CEO (who had been the CFO), when asked why he was hiring Lutz, replied that he (the CEO) was "not a car guy". And my head exploded, as I said to myself, "don't you HAVE to be a car guy to be the CEO of GM!?!?!?".

And now, the CEO is Mary Barra, a DEI hire if there ever was one… Don’t believe the mumbo jumbo, she started off as a receptionist and therefore is now a glorified receptionist who doesn’t have what it takes to lead GM back to global dominance. They’re not even great here in the United States.

She claimed to lead the way to an all electric deadline by 2030 yet admitted to daily driving a gas powered Cadillac Escalade, which is the most polluting vehicle GM makes today. She should’ve been demoted off that alone. How are you so Ill prepared for your softball questions?

General Motors needs to clean house and put the right people in charge already. Enough of the DEI political correctness.

Receptionist? Mary Barra is an engineer.

Yea, she went to school and passed a test, but she started off as a receptionist. And if you go read what they’ve got written as her description today it reads like a lie IMO. It makes no sense.

I clearly remember reading her story years ago and it said she was a receptionist or a factory worker.

She went to GMI, a school I once aspired to go to and visited. GMI (General Motors Institute) was originally a captive entity tailored by GM to develop employees; it was a co-op or work/study program, where you studied for 3 months, then spent 3 months working at a GM plant in an intern capacity, then back to study (full-time, no summers off). It was a 5-year program for a bachelor's degree. The idea was to combine academic study with hands-on experience working at GM, to give a better appreciation of the academic study, and better prepare you for your GM career.

At the time I visited there, and at the time Mary Barra was going there, GM had expanded the co-op part of it to other companies, so the work portion might be outside of the GM universe. So yes, she may have been a "factory worker" during her education.

Not everything is a conspiracy. You have a similar school in your area, what is now known as Northrop University (a school I also visited). That was started by Jack Northrop because he was unsatisfied with the quality of hires at Northrop Aviation, so he started his own school with a curriculum tailored to his specifications.

I never said it was a conspiracy. I said she’s a DEI hire and I stand by it. Everything I stated is exactly as you just said. I know about the schooling and exam she had to pass because an old man in the youtube comments once completely obliterated some idiot who assumed the old man didn’t know what he was talking about when low and behold the old man unleashed his almighty credentials on the guy and stated that he was a retired engineer at GM who had passed the same exams that Mary Barra had and therefore put him in an elite class of people…

I’ll never forget that argument because it was probably the greatest whooping of all time and also because I know the know it all fool who lost that argument because he owns a Cadillac Deville and has posted many videos about it and his times wrenching on it. He’s ok for the most part but he’s extremely hardheaded and a bit of a racially ignorant person to put it nicely. One of the things he does is assume how much you know based on your age…

Funny thing is he assumed that old man was young and then the old man quit being nice and unleashed the furious anger and embarrassed that fool so hard that I wish I could remember what video it was just to see it again.

As far as Mary Barra they’ve changed her story… The following is a current quote straight from the General Motors website:

“Barra began her career with GM in 1980 as a General Motors Institute (Kettering University) co-op student at the Pontiac Motor Division”

Who am I to say anything but, that seems like a flat out lie. How can they say she Started, as in day 1 of her employment as a student at the General Motors Institute when she was a hired as a friggin receptionist?! They’re lying. Or better yet, she’s lying because that can’t be the truth. It doesn’t make any sense. She wasn’t the “chosen one”

If the Fords had worked for GM you’d have to be Edsel Ford to have the clout to be a student in that program on your 1st day of employment with the company… Mary Barra was just a measly receptionist.

It makes perfect sense to me, in the co-op program you alternate, as I said, 3 months work/intern, three months school. So half the class starts at work, half starts at school.

I don’t buy it.
I think she’s inflating her credentials after the fact. These people are alot like politicians.

Finally got to hand wash the FJ, it must be over 2 months, and the last one was just with ONR. Started with Bowden's Wheely Clean on the wheels, almost no bleed off so that was good. Next was TWHS Hyper Foam on the tyres, plenty of browning as expected. Then straight to the 2B wash with Reset, no foaming today, high winds would leave most of it not on the car. Noticed while washing that some horizontal surfaces have no hydrophobic action left, so I dried with Ech2o to put a little protection on it till I put some more NV Jet on it later this week. Dried the glass with Clarify Phobic, although I later had to go over it again with Garage Therapy One Glass as there was some streaks visible later, when I was giving the interior a going over with Nextzett Cockpit Premium.

Under her watch, GM exited several global markets including Australia, New Zealand, Korea, the UK, Germany....................all of Europe actually. Those arms were sold off to the French (PSA) or closed down and not sold to avoid someone else cashing in on the name (Holden).

I never liked her, and the arrogance the company showed towards the Australian market is truly shameful. In fact, they up and left dealers holding the ball. Not to mention syphoning Holden's profits offshore, then doctoring operational losses to avoid paying Australian Tax..................then went cap in hand asking for money from the same government. To be fair, Ford did this too, but not to the same blatancy.

I can see why you are so passionate about what GM (Cadilac in particular) used to be.

Yeah, that sort of thing ticks me off too. Quite often, when a car company is falling, its because of the people at the top being not at all interested in what they are supposed to be selling, they are just numbers guys.

The notable exception to that being Alan Mulally who dragged Ford out of the mud in the late 2000's. He was NOT a car guy, in fact he came from aviation. But the reason why he was put in the big job was because Ford desperately needed someone who wasn't a car guy, mainly to break the cycle of complacency. Early on, he would sit in on meetings and just observe, despite the company losing millions per day, all of the management reports were presented as if they were all hitting the bullseye. At one point, one of the managers reported truthfully and Mulally stood up and applauded the man for having the guts to face the music.

Ultimately, Mulally killed off duplicate platforms and models throughout the Ford world........................which was termed One Ford. He simply couldn't understand why Ford made two versions of the Focus, when one would serve the world for less development cost. You know, like Toyota do.

Getting ready to head out for a job today...all packed up.
Hope to get some pics, although I have to get this car done timely..

Ric dropping

The "stop, drop & roll" mentality of going pure EV was incredibly stupid, notice Toyota had ZERO intention of doing it, even designed a fugly EV just to keep people off of their backs, meanwhile they kept doing what they've been doing and leading the way I might add...hybrids

The hybrid is the best of both worlds and they've been doing it successfully since 1999, everyone else over here playing catch up, it's embarrassing

No pictures but used DIY v2 rinseless on my Bronco. I hate to admit it but I do think Pan’s is better. Neither blows the ONR v2 I just finished out of the water (but I’d been using ONR since 2009 so I’m biased and used to it). I still have Hero and Iconic to try.

We got crap from a lot of people after buying our first Hybrid in 2020 and the second in 2024

"How can you gamble on unproven technology" they would say

I got tired of explaining anything to the great unwashed and finally came up with a one word answer... PRIUS

There was a Toyota flow chart that showed how the same amount of battery materials for one single EV would produce the batteries for like twenty Hybrids

As you said, they had zero intentions of taking the EV plunge and flat said so
