What did you do today non-detailing related?

Take a look at Shadow Systems. Dumb name… nice gun…

Wow, I hadn't heard about that brand

Nice that it would work with my existing gear (mags, kydex, etc) because I have a LOT of stuff and would hate to have to reinvent the wheel

My 19 frame was extensively reworked by a smith in Texas (I am blanking on the name) and all the internals are updated and it is 100% reliable

But those SS pistols look sweet, I will look around locally and see if I can look at one

I honestly haven't been in a gun shop in years, I don't need the temptation

Ooops....................

Yes, that's the $25,000 Ferris backed into the lake.........

The best bit? That was the work of the boss and not the hired help. Ended up having to be winched out with the 4wd Hilux.

My other neighbour Dave his 79 year's old and just before Christmas rolled his john deer ride on off a 5 foot wall, The brakes failed he was lucky i had been looking out the window and i saw it up side down, I ran across the paddock as fast as i could and called out his name, only to find him pinned under it across his chest.

I tried soo hard to pull the ride on off but was not strong enough, i had to wait for dad the 10 seconds felt like 10 minutes, We got it off him and made him sit down he was cut up blood everywhere.

His on blood thinners due to a heart replacement, so we took him to A and E
Injuries, de gloved finger, cut ear, cut arm's, bruising to his chest where the ride on pinned him took him 4 weeks to recover.

They are doing the same thing here in Anchorage, replacing perfectly good intersections with roundabouts and using them in newly constructed roads

Most people here don’t understand them or like them

It can cause some havoc

Traffic studys suggest that they cause fewer accidents. Your right, folks get easily confused about them.

Not in his collection, it's a $1.50 per shot for a 9mm round even more if you don't make them yourself.

You yanks have it soo easy with ammo prices
Holy cowl! Because of where you live you due to gov regulation?

Since our gov started stockpiling more some years back, it has hurt our prices and availability

Maybe they closed down for the holidays and aren't up and running again...

I kinda like that idea though

I’ve outgrown my old Browning safe and I’m leaving it for my son and looking around for a new one for the new house

Yeah, they are marketed for vehicles more than safes. The magbar xl holds up to 55 pounds.

You saved his life. Great job! There is a massive house down the road. The first owner was unloading his zero turn off a trailer while moving in and it crushed him when it flipped. Poor guy. Nobody was around.

There is one very short stretch of road in Palmer Alaska that goes by a couple of schools and in that half mile or so are 3 roundabouts and all three are at a 4 way intersection

Two are identical but the last one has a different configuration as far as which lane you use to turn out of it, etc

I don't know if it was an experiment to see which was more efficient but people go through the first two which are identical and get to the third and have to do a quick sketchy lane change to be able to exit the loop

It's a free for all, especially during school drop off and pick up times when traffic is heavy

Just stupid

Went to a new range/firearm dealer today as part of their grand opening. Free hat, and bought some 9MM and .223.

Could’ve spent much more but told myself prior to going I was only buying ammo.

Sounds like driving through pittsburgh...for those that have had to do so. You will have to sometimes switch across 3 lanes to get from one ramp to another in a matter of what feels like a few seconds.

Used most of the 1/3 bottle of UK 3.0 I had left and applied it to the inside of our glass shower door as suggested by (I think) Eldorado2k. We have really hard water here and had lost the battle against mineral deposits on it. I put some diluted Descale in a spray bottle followed by claying it. Then I put one coat on the door. Had enough left to do one coat on the sunroof on the Maverick that I had never out anything on.

Well, that'll certainly cut down at the double taps at the range.

Rear brakes on my car today. They were getting low and it's getting inspected later this month. I'm hoping my wheels stay cleaner with the new rotors (left).

Got one wheel done. Had to run to HF to get an impact screwdriver to get one of the rotor screws out. Other wheel tomorrow.

That's the preferred driving method on the Long Island Expressway. First thing they teach you in NY drivers ed.:laughing:

YOU KNOW YOU ARE IN ALASKA WHEN…

You stop in at the 3 Bears market, part of a small Alaskan owned chain of supermarkets, and you notice the weekly sales flyer at the checkout and see that wolf traps are on special this week
