What did you do today non-detailing related?

One of the handle bolts fell off of my gf's mower last weekend and the upper handle broke.

We ordered a new upper handle and a few extra bolts/nuts. Handle showed up today and was installed but the bolts aren't here yet.

May head to Lowe's to get one to use until the official ones arrive.

I know you guys like lawnmowers:)
 
Took my son and his friends paint balling for his 13th birthday. We ended up playing with another group. For a couple of rounds it was adults vs kids which made it 4 on 8. We were outnumbered but never outgunned. Those kids never saw it coming.
 
Built a new shed ramp.

I’m pretty sure it was about time….

While I had the FJ in the garage giving it a wash, I decided to adjust the fuel door, it's been crooked since the day I bought it. I bent the tab a little to pull the back edge in a little bit more, and twisted the door while it was open to straighten the hinge out. It's still out by a little bit, but a lot better than it was.

Picked up and installed some new blades for the lawn mower, the old ones were the originals, never been removed, only one bolt snapped during removal, so not too bad.

You did well to go that long with a set of blades. I was swapping blades every few months when I was busier, often going a touch too long...............



 
I also did a repair on my driver side indicator repeater. I noticed it wasn't sitting right the other day, and when I pushed it back in it didn't lock in properly. After driving to get the new mower blades today, it was hanging out by the cable, no damage to the paint as this was relocated to the side of the snorkel, this may have been when the damage was done. I noticed a hairline crack in the plastic tab, so it no longer had any tension. I squeezed some Gorilla Epoxy into the crack, and tensioned it with a little plastic tube. If that doesn't hold I'll be off to Toyota tomorrow.

Truck fully serviced this morning.

1. State inspection
2. Oil change and tire rotation.
3. Transmission service.
4. Gone over
5. Full tank of gas.
6. Wiper blades.

No issues. He did mention you take care of that truck and it shows.

Good move on the transmission service. I’m being proactive on this unit as well.

Amazing the difference one upgrade can make. Back when I had my V8 Commodore ex-HWP vehicle, I was unhappy with the bad understeer it had. I went to a suspension specialist, they did a lot of race cars, he said he could sell me a whole kit, springs, shocks, bars, everything, but all I really needed was to replace the rear sway bar, went from 18mm to 22mm, nothing crazy. Understeer was almost completely gone. It did have a little bit more drift at the back, but very controllable, lots of fun.

I forget what the stock bar diameter is, I’ll have to try to remember to Mic it. Car has the sport suspension option, so it was already uprated from the standard bar; I think sport suspension bar was around 20mm. New bar is 25.4mm and adjustable. I installed it in the full stiff setting.

I was pleasantly surprised it only took a half hour to put in.
