What did you do today non-detailing related?

I miss having a balcony, from our old house in Sydney we could see the Blue Mountains on a clear day. There's a few houses in my area with balconies, but you never see anyone using them, people just seem to stay inside once they get home. Do you get good dark skies at night there? I like nothing more than sitting outside in my camping recliner staring up at the stars with my dogs sitting next to me.
Yes we do, i tend not to use the balcony much but should as people drive past just stare, maybe because i look like Brad Pitt 😆

It's weird because when I go across the road I see the neighbours view all the way to the river you can see, and the farmer has a Huge dam with lots of bird's duck's, swans etc and I say to him HOW can you get sick of that view, then he says to me that he could see himself sitting on the balcony having a beer. You kind of take it for granted but she gets windy and wild here.

I like to sit on the front deck and just stare up at the sky sometimes
It's dark no street lights nothing just random houses in the hill side with lights on, when we had all the pine trees you couldn't see any houses.

I have seen lights flashing lights in the sky but no sound i though maybe a drone? Are we really alone....

Wow,
Looks like a great place.
Wanna trade?

You won't be living here if you trade with me. Might be a trick to get you to agree to a trade.
It's 6 acres has a dam and a little creek down the bottom of the block and fruit trees. Bore/well water so all year water even though others are only on tank water ie rain water.

Comes complete with two tractors 🚜 a boat and shipping container
And of course the old Toyota Hilux plus chook house and 3 chickens 🐔

Just letting you know that our chooks have a particular set of skills,

The Rooster 🐓 is a trained sniper
Ginger is a bomb technician
Pigeon is a trained ninja 🥷

Yesterday went skiing at Spirit Mountain in Duluth,MN with my wife and daughter. Morning was decent, afternoon got warm (50f) and slopes were slushy. I almost face planed a couple times because my skis 'stuck' to the snow, but my upper body kept moving. Still a good time.

Note: rental boots SUCK. My ski boots are 20+ years old and they still fit my feet like a glove, but unfortunately the shells started cracking, so they need to be retired.

End of the season may be a good time to shop for replacements?

Today it was 29°c so off to the beach ⛱️ with my twin brother and sister in law.
First swim for 2025 we just haven't had the weather or it's been hot during the week when they are working.

So we go for a nice dip at Coles Beach located in Devonport Tasmania,
As we are getting changed i notice a truck setting up to feed people now this is where it gets complicated, the truck is parked behind us and about ten other car's making it very hard to reverse out so in the process of my brother reversing his 2004 Toyota Rav 4 (daily little nugget only one previous owner) i get out to help him and i say politely to the guy in the truck (geez mate you've stitched us up)

Only for him to say "We are feeding the homeless" it's not what he said but the tone of voice...I was struck for words and then his lady friend said we have been here for 20 minutes in a tone also.

I can tell you they were not feeding homeless people just tourists or people wanting a snack! Free of course.

I felt like saying to them both how dare you talk to me like that I don't care if you're feeding people from the moon just don't block people in
and when someone calls you out on it don't be a dick... but I didn't what a way to ruin my beach public holiday.

PS. The lady is a former Devonport mayor!

There's no one so entitled as a former politician, you should have taken some photos of them, and make sure they see you doing it.

Ahh, the FIG jam sort................................."fu.k I'm good, just ask me". Typically power-hungry idiots who think their job in local council is highly important, when in reality, all they do organize bin collection each week and mowing the grass in public spaces. And even then, they manage to stuff that up.

Exactly!

Took 3 kittens to the cat shelter and donated $200 some from my parents and me.

No pics sorry as they were to cute and i didn't want the memories.

They were found with no mother about 2 weeks back, dad and i have been giving them belly rubs food etc.

The local council wanted nothing to do with them so a 1 and half hour drive to drop them off.

Always makes me sad, I want to adopt more, but I also don't want to stress out the ones I already have. I really appreciate that we have no kill shelters out there, 3 of my previous pets were from the Animal Welfare League, any that don't get adopted get to live out there lives there, but they do have volunteers who come in and walk the dogs and play with the cats and kittens, some even foster them for a few weeks. I always thought I would do that if I couldn't have pets myself.
