What did you do today non-detailing related?

I actually hadn’t even thought to look that close inside the barrels. It’d be hard to spot that in there.

I’m thinking about picking up some Mothers Tire Renew because the 3 tire cleaners I tried yesterday didn’t remove the film that’s on the rubber. Pretty surprised actually for as much as I scrubbed.
-Meguiars D143
-Pinnacle Black Label Tire Cleaning Gel
-LA’s Totally Awesome

And that film still appears once they dry. Weird because I can remove it if I rub my finger on the dry tire.

Btw I almost pulled the trigger on a set of Vogue Tyres. I was really doubting as to why I didn’t yesterday. But I’ve got a couple of maintenance repairs I outta get done soon regarding the suspension.

Take care of the whip…. But some mustard and mayonnaise woulda looked dope.

Yea, you gotta figure they quit making these wheels probably well over 10yrs. ago. Company no longer exists.

Last time I checked Offer up there was 1 person selling 1 for $150

What kind of wheels are they?

Put a coat of OptiSeal on my ManPlow Pro 32” snow shovel (basically a 32” blade with a big U handle) and cleared the driveway of a couple inches of “snowman snow”.

If anyone’s looking for a snow shovel, I’ve really liked this thing. They have wider ones too, but since I’m not built like a linebacker I wanted to keep it manageable. Cleared my 3 car wide x 2ish car long driveway in about 15 minutes.

Friday night. I went to the Clippers vs. Lakers game at Staples Center. Clippers win! Hell yea!!!

Got a couple of new Continental DWS06Plus tires installed for the car yesterday.

Two of the four were replaced about 9-12 months after the initial installation, we thought we had a couple of defective tires but it ended up being a balance issue, they had to be road force balanced to dial in.

Wheels look pretty good for being dirty!

I’ll replace the other two in few months.

Get that carb on your Honda, and let a machine do it John! ;)

With a new floor to install over Christmas, I lashed out on a new saw to make the process easier.

You made a great choice. Makita makes one of the best saws.

For some reason, I have un-healthy desire to cut something, anything!

Like detailing products, tool companies tend to make some things better than others. Such as Makita making great saws or Milwaukee making better impacts drivers.

As much as I hate shoveling, sometimes ya just gotta do it. That shovel has made all the difference.

And the snowblower seems to think otherwise on replacing the carb. First start of the season: Flipped the fuel lever on, heard the carb fill, and it started on the second pull as if to say "New carb? Nay nay!"

speaking of snow, I got the oil changed in the ATV...Im ready to plow

Re: Installed some Conti DWS06's on the RedSport

Cleaned both my K&N cabin filter and my AEM dry flow air filter.

The following post represents two years of procrastinating, several thousand dollars and nearly 8 hours of fitting. I'm just a little exhausted, so excuse me if I become incoherent!

I looked into various floor options for my garage, including other similar interlocking tiles, but what gave the Swisstrax the win was the ease of installation, time of installation and the fact I could do it myself and maintain control of the job. The choice of Swisstrax was a mere formality in the end.

DONE!! -

Have I mentioned that I have a thing for red cars?

With the help of my father, I basically worked non-stop for 8 hours today to get this done. To say I am pleased with the outcome would be an understatement. That said, I am so tired that I don't fully understand or appreciate what we achieved today! I still have a few hours relocating various bits and pieces, but the big job is done! Im the MAN

Now, which car to detail on it first.........

Awesome DFB garage look's killer! When cutting them with the drop saw did you have to change over the blade, or was the one used for cutting wood fine.

Get some rest :D

Thanks!

You need what they call fine tooth blade/s. I changed the OE blade with this Diablo item -

If I was to do it again, I would get a blade with 90+ teeth. I was having a little trouble here and there with the saw shattering corners of the tile, although that was mainly when I was trying to cut an inch off or so. Surprisingly, a utility knife cuts these pretty nicely where required.

Flooring looks great man! Now paint the walls to match and throw in some red accents to pull in the cars :dblthumb2:

Knocked out a quick oil change

I love these long 2 piece rare ramps
