What did you do today non-detailing related?

Picked up my car from the bodyshop. Brand new bumper. Only the bumper was painted as the car is only 6 months old. Of course they swirled up my entire car when they washed it.

I’m going to either remove the swirls and recoat now or just live with it through the winter and then recoat next spring. It currently has uk3.0 and gliss 2.0 and its only been a few months so I hate to get rid of it now.

This week my son and I are redoing my garage floor. We have about two full days in so far with less than a day left (should be done tomorrow). Then we may paint the walls a medium to dark grey next.

What the picture doesn't show is that there is glitter in the chips and is very visible in person. I have no idea why it isn't visible in the photos. Maybe after we put the clear on tomorrow it may show in the photos.

Instead of watching the "debates" I went to the ER for a kidney stone..... pain involved either way!

Back home now bringing my supplies in from the garage where it's getting cold!

Bet the stone was less painful. :dunno:

My Golf R got an oil change and I also changed the haldex fluid.

All jacked up and ready for work.

$10k for stripes! At least they over the top stripes!

Yeah...$10K for painted on stripes. Most body shops can paint an entire car VERY well for that price, ridiculous

I have an appointment mid-afternoon to get my 3 season set-up taken off and then winter tires/wheels put on. It's a little earlier than usual and yes it's supposed to be in the mid 60's by the middle of the week but it's not that temp going to and from work, so might as well get it the fu&k out of the way As you can see, I'm a big fan of the upcoming season, born and raised in the midwest too

I added a switch to my snow blower to control the light.

I think it’s ridiculous it doesn’t come stock with one.

It’s the toggle right next to the heated grip rocker switch.

(Took this pic before I wired it. So no, the wires aren’t hanging down like that. Lol)

Meanwhile in Australia, I enjoyed a perfect Spring day, 27 deg C / 80 deg F.

So, I missed a day, but yesterday I put the finishing touches on Anti-Covid Manor, our candy handout station (with candy chute) to keep kids happy while maintaining social distancing.

For a pile of wheel, valve cover, and cordless (corner balancing) scale boxes, I’m pretty happy how it turned out.

Hope everyone had a Happy and Safe Halloween!!!
