What did you do today non-detailing related?

And the winter setup went back on last night, gotta 600 mile road trip and Michigan decided it needed to snow and be in the 30s this morning. The Pilot Sport 4S tires = no Bueno. The 70-80s over the last 2 weeks made me jump the gun I guess.

I hear ya there. Did a 6am tire swap yesterday after the cold overnight temps teamed up with the dusting of snow we'd been threatened with (then not, then threatened, then not, then threatened...) made for slick roads for my morning commute. 10 car pileup closed a main section of highway I pass through on the way to work; wasn't going to see if my SuperSports were going to play nice over all the bridges I have to cross.

Ordered up a compact creeper to help out getting around.

Looks to be a steal. I bought my speedmaster for around $50 during a really nice Speedmaster sale.

But then I bought the cushion from griots for $20

And I don’t have the better cup holders. I may buy it for that...

HF Knock-off but nicely done.

The griots is the same as the SpeedMaster and Adam’s. I bet this is ordered from same over seas manufacturer. Parts look really close.

If i get one i’ll try thy cushion on my speedmaster which has the griots cushion

Went to Sun and Fun Air Show in Lakeland Florida on Friday.

Blue Angel's, they just transitioned to the Super Hornet after 34 years of flying the original F18 Hornet.

BIG DIFFERENCE.

This was their first public show.

I installed an LED solar light in the shed.

This thing is bright as HELL! I pivoted it to get each angle, but I like this so much, I’ve got another one coming tomorrow.

(Excuse my temporary mess. :D )

I see a Michigan bottle koozie. Great choice!

Changed my oil yesterday, and brought the car in for tire rotation and inspection today.

Gotta love free oil changes though. Thanks FCP Euro.

Not me!

When my truck was new I took it in for one of the complimentary oil changes (against my better judgement) at about 750 miles. I thought I was just getting an oil change.

Driving it home it felt different. I looked at the paperwork when I got home and found that they also rotated the tires and changed all my air pressures. No wonder it felt different!

I then proceeded to inspect the wheels, which I know were perfect because I had just had them off the truck to wax the inside barrels, and found every one of them to have scratches/gouges on the barrels. Probably from banging them into the calipers during removal and/or installation. I was PISSED!

That experience re-confirmed what I already knew... Don't let anyone work on your stuff, even if it's free.

I never went back for the remaining "free" services.

I do my oil changes myself but that's the extent of my mechanical abilities, unfortunately

I'm at the mercy of a mechanic to get anything else done and if/when I do I become a nervous wreck.

I better start taking pictures of my car in all places where it's going to get work beforehand. You can understand how I hate taking my car in to any mechanic. I sure wish more were Autogeeks.

I changed the oil myself. I didn't take it anywhere. FCP Euro is an online company that sells parts for European cars.

Working on a little nick-knack in my woodshop. I have one more sanding to do with 600G followed by the final coat of polyurethane.

I'm making this as a gift for my surgeon who will be performing my hernia repair on Monday. As long as everything goes smoothly and she does a good job I'll give this to her when I see her for the post-surgery follow-up appointment in a couple weeks.

Getting this surgery scheduled has been a real PITA. You can read about it here... https://www.autogeekonline.net/foru...enture.html?highlight=my+next+great+adventure

I'll sure be glad when it's all over.

Made a friend at cars and coffee. He saw my car and had to park next to it.
