Made what should be a fully functional extension ladder for part of a firefighter costume for Halloween. Retracts to 4’, easy to carry. It’s a half scale imitation of an aluminum one I have.

Is it one of those multi fuel types? Ive been thinkin a generator would be a good thing to have
Took delivery of this guy today.
Got a real killer deal on it, and I had to pull the trigger.
And before you start wondering…..
It has a full coat of Griot’s 3-in-1. :laughing::laughing:

I opened one of my jars of fermented peppers and then realized both my food processor and blender are at my girlfriend's place. So I diced up the peppers and simmered them with some of the brine and some vinegar. I'll have to blend them up later (or convince someone to try some of my "soup"). Other 2 jars will stay unopened for now until I can blend them.

Come late December and it will be all dead dry grass BUT! I hope we get some summer rain to keep the dust down.
2 days before I was supposed to drive my Mustang 150 miles to its winter storage location, one of the valve springs decides to break, luckily I was only a block from my house.
Of course these are not stock heads, so getting a valve spring in 2 days is either impossible or $$$, but I lucked out.
Contacted my gear head coworker who gave me a name of a guy he knows.
10 minutes later, guy has a full set in his garage that he gave me for free.
The night before the drive, I swapped the broken spring out. Almost everything went well, I stripped one of the valve cover bolts.
I'll replace the other 15 springs sometime this winter and repair the stripped thread for the valve cover.
Car made the trip without a hiccup.
The one quick pic I took. EDIT 4th from the left was the broken one. Obviously you cannot see the springs.

Lucky the valve didn't drop into the cylinder. Ask me how I know.
Mine happened 2,000 miles from home on a road trip. Did the repairs on the side of the road (I-40 near Flagstaff, AZ in January - It was cold!).
For sure. The damper spring likely held it up just enough to keep from kissing the piston. Plus I was barely above idle driving down my street.
My other concern was if any of the others would fail on the drive.
Last time I had a valve spring fail, a 2nd one wasn't far behind, but thankfully no issues on the trip.

After work I went in for my yearly "random" drug test. I say yearly and random because I never did one the first 7 yrs, now 3 in three years. This one has a breathe test too. I'm ranting about this because I don't drink or smoke anything, complete waste of my time but it's their O.T. money they're payin' but not the point, I'm offended

As of today (10/27) yes. Price drop from $1,399 to $949 on the Big "A". Was at my house in less than 48 hours.

I get to do that at work. We have nurse practitioners at work so I just have to go to our medical office. We have 30 minutes after they tell us until we have to be there. They usually tell me right after I pee so I have to sit there drinking water for like a half hour.
