What did you do today non-detailing related?

didn't want to take the risk of the metal wand smacking against the paint anymore so I got the idea to buy some rubber tubing (3/8" size). with some waterless wash and effort, it slid on (covers entire length of wand with no exposed metal). also have a rubber nozzle guard (no exposed metal as well) too.. better safe than sorry...

Corral snakes are beautiful. Not sure they are anywhere on the top most venomous snakes list though.

We in the USA are very lucky as we don't have many really dangerous snakes here. About 10 or less deaths per year here. Way fewer than dogs and cows

According to Google, 21 of the 25 most venomous snake species are native to Australia, but we only average 1 or 2 deaths per year. There was one the other day, an Eastern Brown Snake (No.2 in the top 10), had coiled around a man's leg, a friend was helping him remove it, and he got bitten on the arm and chest. He didn't make it, but the autopsy showed no venom, the poor guy, the stress of being bitten gave him a heart attack or something.

There are only 2 venomous snakes (Copperhead and Timber Rattlesnake) where I live. Fortunately they're not too difficult to identify.

Took my g/f's Cruze to get its oil changed. I run their house synthetic and go with 5w30 instead of the 0w20, it uses a little oil and this slows that down. The air filter can wait till next time around, maybe I'll put a K&N in it and call it a day, you can go 30-40K between cleaning/oilings

I did my oil change today too. Nothing but Mobil One 5w-30.

I has greenish mold growing on my garage siding. I found a product called 30 Seconds. Attached it to the end of the hose and washed my siding. Rinsed and no more green mold.

30 Seconds is good stuff! It’s a must here in Florida

I replaced a broken clip on my front right indicator with a stainless steel bolt and nut. It's been annoying me for a while, I could feel it moving in and out whenever I washed it. You'd think it would be easy to buy a replacement clip, but nobody sells small packs of these ones, everybody wants to sell me the bulk kit that has 30 different types, and 50 of each. I just want to replace one. I could have used a zip tie but I would have had to drill an extra hole. I already had the nut and bolt, and it will come out as easily as it went in, with only minimal blood loss. And no, I didn't go to Toyota, they would have charged me as much as the nut and bolt that I already had.

Nothing crazy, but had my 6 week post-op follow-up for my broken wrist.
X-rays look good and I've been cleared to use it normally (within reason).
Up to now, I was limited to 1lb which I followed.....for the most part.
Still need to work on range of motion and strength, but making good progress.
This also means I can do more proper car washes again.

I played golf with this guy once who was playing his first game back from a broken wrist, it was about 3 months after. He was so tentative, no strapping or anything. I guess you know, it's one of those injuries that messes with so much you do.
