What did you work on today?

Yesterday after my regular job I did a paint overspray removal job on a burgundy Saturn. It was covered from top to bottom with white paint overspray. Took me 4 hours using a rotary with a white Poorboy's VC pad and Transtar Tri-Cut 2 as the product of choice. No pics but the customer was happy with the results.

36ft Winnebago Journey - only a 3 step polish though :( ...... makes me rethink my profession lol!

I worked on a 91 Camry for a little old lady who has had it since it was new. She comes to see me a few times a year because she knows how important it is to take care of her paint to keep it looking new. This woman has had the same car for over 20years and it looks and runs better than a lot of cars that are only 5 years old.

Anyway I got her car yesterday, and it was in pretty good shape as far as swirls went, but it needed some work since it hasn't been touched since the winter. It got a heavy wash with APC and Soap, and a mild clay bar treatment. After that the paint was silky smooth, but I wanted to make sure there was not marring from the clay and wanted to give the paint a good chemical cleaning. So I ended up choosing to use Werkstat Prime Strong. This is an AIO that cleans the paint, removes light marring, and adds protection. Here is a picture of the pad after just two doors. Remember this is after a wash, clay and iron x.

Just goes to show how great of a cleaner that stuff is. I'm still working on the car today getting the interior cleaned up so I will post some finished pictures when I'm done. Oh and for added protection on top of whats left by the Prime Strong, I applies two coats of Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger. Easily one of the easiest spray waxes to use, and can be good for up to 6 months of protection with two applications 30 minutes a part.

Well right now i am working on this pot of Starbucks French Roast but here in 30 minutes I'll be taking delivery of today's project which is a black Yukon Denali paint correction. I am going to try to get it done in under 10 hours so I won't likely have time for too many photos but I will try to at least get a few before and after and a 50/50 shot or two as well.

Last night while going to take a look at my friend's BMW 325 iX project car I received a call from a previous customer asking if I can wash and wax his C-6 Corvette, his 4 door Silverado and the wife's car too. I said "sure I can" so I'll get started on those tomorrow. It's nice to be busy!!:dblthumb2:

My plate is full today! lol... I will be working on a Volvo S60 but we also have a Groupon running... So we will be busy!

Worked on a 2010 Ford Fusion yesterday. Paint was in great condition. Light polish with Poorboy's Polish with Sealant and sealed with Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. Quick vacuum and interior wipe down.

Today I TRIED to remove this dealership tire "dressing" on the Volvo. This stuff is sticky and bad looking. Tried Simple Green straight and some Dawn. Just a little bit better. Then changed the oil in the 2005 Corvette.
