What do dealer detailers make?

I couldn't imagine living off $10/hour. It's crazy to think that the cost of living can vary that much. Just to compare... We had a couple union welders in my job a couple months ago, The guy was making $85/hour! Almost $200k a year with his overtime.

Ha.. wow!! And to think I thought I was making big money when I went to work off shore starting out at 19.75/hour

Yeah none of that would be enough. I average about $13.50 now with two part time jobs and would like at least a few more bucks an hour than that. Guess I'll keep looking for alternatives...

If you have any high-end dealerships (Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bently, Aston Martin) nearby, they might pay better.

i work at a toyota dealer and make around 1000$ every two weeks take home. for the job id says its pretty good. i do detail work and new.used car delievies and am payed flat rate.

I could never work flat rate pay ever your screwed if you go over their time aloud and the your working for free. Thats why I have my own detailing business and making $25-50 hour and if I take little long I'm not working for free. I tried working for a dealer lasted 3 days after I was told I have 3-4 hours todo what takes me 8-12 in my shop. The stuff I watched these guys do made me cringe all day.
