What Do You Clean Your Microfibers With?

I need to comment. Having tried quite a few brands of MF detergent, I must say they are all equal IMO.

Why do you consider static a bad thing? Some think it attracts the dirt to the towel.
 
With Bogos, sales and intro of new products I find myself 7 gallons of assorted dedicated MF cleaners not even including the quart and pint sized ones. I find a bout a half size dose works well with all my laundry at about half the price of regulater detergents. I have an ASKO HE machine that giges up to 3 extra rinces. No softner needed with clothes or MFs. Plus with water temp available to 190f the come clean. Try it I like it.
 
Soak in Oxi-clean for 6 hours then wash with a free/clear detergent or MF specific detergent like micro-restore with and extra rinse and spin and they should be about as clean as they will get. Towels that don't come completely clean should just be degraded to a lower task that you are comfortable using it on.
 
Wolfgang Microfiber cleaner and restorer, I've only done 1 load so far, but I really like it.
 
I use the CG microfiber cleaner. works well and leaves my towels soft. I also do an extra rinse cycle and dry on low heat
 
I use tide free and gentle. When my towels start to loose there absorbency, I use any MF wash I got on BOGO.
 
If you use hot enough water (my washing machine goes from 30º C up to 95º C), you can use any basic detergent and get good results.

The good MFs are washed at 40 or 60º C, depending on how dirty they are; the normal ones up to 95º C (if they are crappy ones and get really dirty - for example, the ones used on wheels).

Just for the record: 30º C = 86º F; 95º C = 203º F
 
Sorry guys but I use my wife's home made laundry detergent. That consist of 1 bar of Fells Nafta, 1 cup of borax, and 1 cup of washing soda. Just grind everything up and as soon as it hits water it is dissolved and the micro fibers come out clean. No harsh perfumes or chemicals. Use this for all laundry. Only cost about 3.00 per batch which works out to about $.05 per wash.

I use this stuff to clean my foam pads....works Great !!
 
My wife uses cloth diapers for our kids, and the pads are microfiber. I've learned a lot from her on cleaning these things. :D

We have a Speed Queen washer and dryer - definitely didn't want a front-loader for soaking her diapers in.

We use hot water, with either Rockin' Green (Amazon.com : Rockin' Green Classic Rock Motley Clean : Powdered Laundry Detergent : Baby) or All Free & Clear. They always get at least one extra rinse, and sometimes a white vinegar boost.

The dryer cycle is on either delicate or no heat. If you have a gas dryer, I'd definitely suggest no heat.

And no, her MF and my MF don't mix. Or else...:bat:
