I'll pick the easy one, for me, at least. After buying a new car this past summer I thought the clear coat would be substantially better formulated to resist swirls and scatches. NASA is developing a heat shield to withstand 4,800 degree F but the car industry can't develop a coating that will stop me from worrying everytime my jeans rub up against the side of my car as I clean the top. I either have to get taller or wash my car in the nude.......and that is not a pretty sight!!!!!

Steel Wool can scratch really bad.

That was a JOKE!

When I wash my car I usually just have on shorts with no belt or bottoms that can scratch the car. If I was back living in a cold climate I would where something like sweatpants and sweatshirts that won't scratch the car if you are leaning over it and rub against it.

Maybe cobra could come out with a micro fiber suit for you to wash you car.

The only thing that disappoints me on the exterior of my car is dirt so when it gets even a little dirty I wash it.

I wear a fleece pullover on days like today.......25* outside now!!!
It covers my belt and buttons. I'm 6-3 so my waist normally hits the windows!!!

Then again, everyone drives HUGE SUV's or trucks here.

I'm "disappointed" in the fact that everything shows, and is intensified on black finishes.

I'm disappointed that my paint is harder to work with than the paint on my wife's Explorer.

Buy a new Benz. They now come with ceramiclear coat. It is scratch resistant.

The most disappointing thing about my vehicles exterior is that it doesn't say Saleen S7 on the side of it.:D

Im disapinted that my car is silver and not black :(

Although I am completely enamored with my baby, her one "flaw" if I can call it that is her rear bumper. I don't know if it is the wheel cover or if there is something else in the rear door that collects water, but whenever it rains or when I wash the car, water always pools on the rear bumper. No matter how many times I wipe it off, the next time I open the door there it is again. I have to be vigilant about the water spots on the rear bumper and I have to polish it pretty frequently to keep the spots from etching. But other than that I love my car. :)

im disapointed in the deep scratches the previous owner left, :'(.

FloridaNative, If you have an air compressor or a leaf blower try blowing the water out of the areas where the water lays surrounding the bumper. Both work good at getting the water out or areas you can not get with a towel. Using this methold you won't have keep going back to that spot to dry it off. You can almost get all the water off your car before going over it with a MF towel.

Some marring around my V8 emblems, even by hand to awkward of a shape to polish. Also the open parts of the emblems and lettering that collect dirt etc but no matter what I do it's a pain to clean, even with AIO and cotton swap so I gave up on that.

Thanks for the advice, sweetheart. Believe me, there are many detailing tools I would love to have, a blower included, but trying to justify the need to my non-detailing husband is a hard sell. He still won't let me have a pressure washer. :(

Please do! And talk to him about how a pressure washer will make our lives much richer and fuller. And see if you can get him to do laundry now and again also. If Justin can do it and detail all day long, my husband should be able to too. After all he's got a nice cushy desk job. :p

I have a few areas that have like mini air bubbles that have hardened in the CC on my 01 Stang GT.

Everytime I wash my M3, I see a 6 inch mark where some a** keyed my car... It's one of those that isn't really big enough to have fixed, but it pisses me off everytime I see it...

And what do you do all day....sit on your latina behind lol? I also tell him to wear shoes and not flip flops when pressure washing, that hurt lol, only time I even did that, was rushing and wanted to do the driveway and back quickly so threw flip flops on.

I have you know I work very hard! I practically live in the kitchen either cooking or washing dishes or chopping up some thing or other or washing and seasoning meat to go into the freezer. Then I have 2 kids to take care of plus laundry, food shopping, house cleaning and on and on. I'm a busy lady.:)
