What do you guys think about my services/prices before the website goes up?

I saw where you are trying to be competitive with your washes and I understand that. There are a few guys that do detailing in my area and their prices blow mine away. I am always busy and never short of work. I work a full time job and do detailing on the side and people are willing to wait up to a month for my services. Am I more expensive than them because I want to make more money?? NO, I am more expensive because I offer a better service.

My point that if you are not making money, the quality of you work will go down the tubes. Sure some people say I am too expensive and go to the other places yet others are more than willing to wait and pay for my services because they know they are getting a quality job. I would rather produce quality work especially since I am not high volume. It only takes one complaint to start a chain reaction of a bad word of mouth reputation. I personally cant justify $25 for my wash job when it includes $15 dollars of product. At that point, you will make more money after taxes at minimum wadge. Cosmin points that out rather well!

Best of luck to you my friend!

Yeah, it's just tough to find the balance between whats too low and whats too high. Obviously I'd like to be where I'm making as much as possible but I don't know if I should just stop offering a basic wash all together. By the way, what products are you using for $15 a wash?

Soap, tire gel, electricity, brushes, wash mitts, water, apc's......ect. Gotta take all that kinda stuff into consideration....even the reusable items like buckets and grit guards realistically gotta factor into play since they were not initally free.

I think your biggest mistake is combining exterior and interior services in a basic package.

My basic exterior package is $65 and the only thing I touch inside is the windows.

Since you're a mobile detailer, I can't imagine how you can even turn a profit at all with gas where it's at for a $25 wash. I have one that cheap too, but I schedule them in my shop along with other jobs or in a block of a few at a time. I'm not making a trip in there for just one of those.

And how much do you add for a regular vacuum and wipe down. I think it may have to do where I live because if you go on Google and search south Florida mobile detailing you can see how many detailers there are locally and how low their prices are.

Great thread! Im currently working on my price sheets and packages. One thing i keep in mind is the quality of my work! I guarantee my work is better than my competitors. My prices are higher than theyres but i offer more in my packages. Its NOTHING to wipe Down a vehicle with spray wax so definately use that as a selling point, make it stand out! Another thought is charge a certain price for different mileage? Charge someone 25 if they live 5 miles from you, but if another customer lives 15 miles from you charge them 35. Just a thought..!

Streamline the grammar a little bit. what I mean is, keep everything uniform

my service descriptions always start with the verb. 'vacuum' carpets - 'dust' dashboard - 'dress' tires

alternative choice, always start with the noun. carpets are vacuumed - dashboard is dusted - tires are dressed

has more of a flow and easier to follow in my opinion

keep us posted...
