I use to use the windex and it would leave with lots of streaks, then I went with the amonia free spray can window cleaner. Its a bit better but now it leaves them like if I used soap to clean them. It takes me lots of time to get these cleaned up, I have clean them with a window cleaner cloth over and over until soapy look goes away. What do you guys use ?

I use the same stuff I use for windows which is Meguiar's D120, method is the same exact way I clean windows. Spray, wipe with window MF, buff off with long nap mf. That seems to get me streak free mirrors/windows

i love iso alcohol and distilled water. cheap and super effective. spray and wipe with a MF.

D120 with a glass waffle weave mf towel. Spread with one side, flip to another side for a final wipe/buff. So far I've done my car windows, bedroom windows and bathroom mirrors with it and it works perfect.

Just came back from using Sonax Glass Cleaner. Good cleaner, ate up dust and minor water spots but with a waffle weave it left hologram like lines that could be pushed around. A wipe with a MF cleared it right off, pretty good lime smell if you are a fan.

Looks like ill be picking up a D120 soon so use a window microfiber towel to wipe off and it should work good ?

I was using ONR but picked up some D120 and used it last night. Stuff is awesome! Cheap, works well, can use it in the house as well. No brainer.

I use whatever detail spray I'm using. Best streak free stuff ive used.

I was having the streaking problem also and couldn't for the life of me figure it out. I called a buddy that details and he figured it out. Being new to detailing I would have never figured it out but I was cleaning them in the sun and windows were hot. He told me to pull the car inside and let windows cool off and it worked...no more streaks...guess you learn something everyday!

D120 for me as well. My windows/mirrors have never looked better.

Sent from my ADR6300 using AG Online

I've used vinegar and distilled water in the past mixed 1:1 which worked great on lights dust and fingerprints. Just wanted more cleaning power so I use d120 now.

What you need is a KD Cloth. Corey sells them.

I find the cleaner isn't too important. Just a little cleaner and glass specific micro fibers, but not waffle weaves. They are more like the extremely short nap ones for eye glasses. I'm not sure if AG has towels like that though.

with the right waffle weave this is as simple AND [arguably] AS EFFECTIVE as it gets....

DISTILLED H2O is the key here....

i mix it with everything pretty much: Glass, QD, APC, 12.5% IPA solution, dillution, and of course the handy spray bottle of distilled alone... that way i dont chance leaving mineral deposits behind on anything

We are talking about the outside mirrors correct?

I've found that the edging will hold water for a looong time. trying to clean the mirror face just keeps bringing up more of the leftover water.

Either let them dry completely or use an air hose, leaf blower etc to get all water out first. Then, clean the face.

Just my 2¢...
