What do you not like to do on a detail?

It's definitely windows for me. Interior front windshield and rear window. Some of my clients have so much film on them, it takes three or four wipes to make them streak free. This burden has been lifted slightly by using DP window cleaner and a waffle weave cloth.

I have an air chuck for my compressor, which I use while I am at my shop but unfortunately, I do not have one for when I am mobile at a customer's home. Thanks for the tip.

I really hate windows!!! The problem I have is that I will clean the windows and sitting in my garage they will look perfect. Then I go out and drive and under the right light I can still see streaking. I clean them in the garage (where they are cool), I have Invisble Glass, and I use the cobra waffle weave window towel, but to no avail. It' s maddening!!!

I use Optimum No Rinse as a lubricant and start after the final rinse while the car is still wet. I just dry the panel after clay and the whole process doen't add more than 15 minutes. It works best when it's not 115 degrees outside:dblthumb2:

I hate to dress tires...
 
Claying.......it takes me usually over an hour to effectively clay an entire car and sometimes 2 hours.

How does everyone clay so quickly?

Wheels and wells, I just hate doing them. Dirty, nasty baked on brake dust and mud filled dirt coated wells just suck.
 
removing other peoples dried wax is what I hate the most.
 
Windows, door jambs, wheels with a lot of spokes, wheels with tight spokes, drying, tonneau covers, and then of course clean up.

I would say taping and detailing of the engine, such meticulous work that you also have to be cautious with.
 
windows on a hot day, wheel wells on any day, and that little area between the seat and center console that is just big enough for ice cream, soda, and crayons to fall into but just small enough to be nearly impossible to clean!! agh :doh:
 
Rims. I hate thick brake dust or rims that ate pitted and don't look perfect anyway. Any tips on how to tell if a rim is aluminum, chrome, painted chrome, painted aluminum?
 
I Hate headliners. Especially the newer ones with the super short nap, suede-like fabric. I have never found a cleaner that will work as a spot treatment without needing to do the entire headliner. Plus it's super awkward to lean backwards and look up to get a good cleaning angle while shampooing.
 
Dirty, manky, scarred and scratched wheels. Stained, baked on broiled on brakedust. Grease that stains all the way through the clear coat and creates a new super indelible material with the rim metal. Drop down to your knees and spend an eternity cleaning the filthiest wheel you have ever seen, all the while knowing the owner won't notice. Did I mention that I hate wheels. I'll clean glass all day, just no wheels.
 
Blasting Semi floors - it is absolutely the worst part of detailing any vehicle. 1 - you NEED a faceshield, even though we don't use them. 2 - It is years of built up nastiness which you don't realize hits you from every angle until your wear shorts and blast :/ --- I don't like windows, but those are nothing compared to blasting the floors on super nasty Semis!
