What do you personally do when rain is anticapated?

As nearly all of Australia is having the worst drought ever recorded, when it rains we hope it keeps raining for days.

In our second largest city, Melbourne, they have now issued water restrictions banning using water to wash cars other than the windows, mirrors and lights. Pro-detailers and commercial car washes which recycle water are still ok..............for now.

I live in Brisbane which has a climate somewhat like Florida, dry winters and wet summers. Last time we had a downpour I put one of my cars outside and washed it in the rain !!!!

Cheers
Dave.

When I know it's going to rain, I wash the truck and move it inside to dry it.

If you can't drive another car or a substitute method of transportation, just drive it then. I usually don't wash it if I'm anticipating a large amount of rain. As soon as I get home from the rain, I'll dry the car asap. Then if I can, I'll try to do a rinseless wash at the same time. If it's only a light drizzle, then I'd just dry the car then QD it.
