Swirled-out Jeep

What do you think?

Bring her in for a show car makeover at one of our Autogeek's Car of the Week Thursday night projects?

The owner came by Autogeek to pick up some supplies and I just happened to be outside inspecting black paint for swirls after using a rotary buffer only for a new coatings test.

I walked over, introduced myself and then inspected the paint and it's completely swirled out and filled wit sanding scratches that were not removed from the first sand and buff.

The owner just purchased it and is going to join us tomorrow night to check us out...

Here's his very cool Jeep in need of Show Car Makeover!

This is the finger pointing trick I use to capture swirls in focus...

In this picture, I'm down low shooting upwards where the rear hood meets the fender and Jeep body. Note the Orange Peel was scuffed but not sanded flat and not buffed smooth. Below are the visual signs of wool pad rotary buffer swirls.

:xyxthumbs:

After he gets there and see what your doing there you got him HOOK LINE AND SINKER!

Another AG junkie in the making.....he just dosen't know it yet!

When I talked to John about the finish on the Jeep he mentioned he hadn't turned it over to his "detailer" yet. (I quietly cringed).

I'm hoping to bring bigger variety of vehicles to our project nights so I though inviting a Jeep owner would be way to go after the Jeep and 4x4 segment of the car hobby.

Now it's just a matter of scheduling...

:)

Sweet Ride! I like the tire & wheel setup

I'm going to have to drive down there to pick up some materials and"happen" to bump into you Mike.

Can't wait to see the finished Jeep!
