I know this has been in debate whether it is a need when starting out but I am not starting soon and used to love messing around with html.

So I am planning on starting a business sometime in the future so in my free time over the last week I have been building a site. Now bear in mind $0 has been spent here. So I would like, your opinions on what I have come up with thus far. Still need a logo, name, and pricing as well.

TIA for any and all feedback.

Your add on link at the bottom of the package page doesn't work. No prices? That's my only input for ya.

Thanks, ya forgot to fix that when I changed the name of the page thanks (already fixed). Yea I'm not open or even near open so no pricing yet just getting stuff setup for when that time does come.

i think it looks good. The first thing I noticed is that it's a little boring. If you can add a few more pics to each page and focus on "brightening" it up it'll help keep a potential customer from leaving sooner than later. Also, make the text more uniform. For example, do all the page headers the same style, all the paragraph titles the same, all the paragraph text more similar. It'll make it more "professional" looking.

the small things make a huge difference visually from looking pro and looking like a build it yourself website. i made our website with weebly as well, and though it isnt perfect, a lot of my customers said my website looked good.

One of them said that they chose us because we are more established than the other guys. We've just started this year haha, so I'm sure our website and logo helped sell our "established" professional appearance.

Also, working on the SEO of the site will help. But you are in New York - it might be a little difficult to pop up early on google without professional help.

That looks great bro. How did you get the swirls out of the paint. Nice work though.:xyxthumbs:

Great feedback kengo thanks. I may not even live in NYC when I start but yes it will be an uphill struggle. My text is all the same font and so forth in the paragraphs I am going to get more pics up but I am just starting and definitely am not a great camera man. I will be doing an engine bay this week so that will go up in the add ons. I am going to try and get a somewhat transparent box around most of the text next time I fidget with it. As far SEO I am not trying to be found yet as I barely have enough time to take care of my car or the family's cars at this point.

Again you for taking your time to provide me the feedback.

EVO,
Good start so far. Here are some of my comments page by page:

Home:
- I will assume the top of the page will eventually have a jpg/gif of your logo. If not, I would definitely consider it.

- I agree with everything that Kengo says as well. I would take a look at trying out some other fonts on the screen also. Although the font is nice, it is a bit "tiring" on the eyes. It might just be because the background is a little distracting. Im no graphic designer... just letting you know my opinion

Packages:
- Instead of publishing a list in sentence format, i think it would be advantageous to use a bulleted list.

- For the silver package, you may want to say something along the lines of "Includes all services provided in Bronze Package plus:" (list of items). And also for the following packages as well Gold package includes all services provided in Silver Package plus:"....

Add-on services:
- The additional lines between services is a bit distracting. Possibly using just an additional blank line in place of the line may be a bit cleaner looking.

- Your "fine print" notes with the asterisk should really be smaller in size, and possibly not bolded.

- Consider adding sample pictures of headlight restoration, and headlight detailing if you have them available.

- Consider elaborating the coating section. I am a newbie to detailing, and haven't researched coatings at all yet, and from my point of view your description is a bit vague. I think you should make it clear what the advantages are to a typical wash&wax/sealant. ex... longevity, scratch protection, etc...

Contact:
- I would consider also having a hyperlink for your direct email address. Maybe it is just me, but it feels much more personal when you feel you are sending an email to a person rather than just filling out a form.

Hope my opinion helps you with your site. Good luck!

Great feedback and I had the main page background a solid color before and I may go back to it.

Makes sense thank you.

Again great advice and yes the pictures will be added when available.

If I actually wanted anyone to contact me at this point I would have that. Same reason there is no phone number anywhere.

Thanks for all the input.

Glad to help. In regards to the last one, I just see a lot of companies that dont really give any direct way to contact them. Good to know you'll make it easy for your customers to get in touch :)

the main thing i would change is the background.. its waaayyyy to distracting

I agree

also I would put prices on the packages and maybe have the pictures right on the page as apposed to having a little slide show, I don't know how many people are going to sit and scroll through the pictures as a apposed to seeing the before and after pictures right on the page
