what do you use for a detailers spray - bulk size

Duragloss Marine & RV Detail Spray #521. I add 15% Aqua wax to it.

I'll toss out an old-school option, but one that remains one of my favorite products. Poorboy's Spray and Wipe. I love the stuff, and stock up by-the-gallon when it's on sale.

ONR is certainly a great option as well, and while I tend to use this more as a wash (duh!) and as a clay lubricant, it really is fine as a QD.

I love PB Spray and Wipe but for me personally I just use it as an interim cleaner between washes, after a drive to remove bugs etc. I personally just don't find that it has the same qualities as a true QD Spray like V-7, BFWDPS, etc. I always follow up after I use it with a QD Spray.

I use PB Spray and Gloss

PB BS remover for bird bombs

Spray and rinse is a waterless wash more than a qd.

I just used this stuff for the first time a couple months back and it's awesome. I used as a waterless in 50 degree weather and it worked better than D114 (waterless-use only). D114 was tough to dry/buff off--S&W wiped off like it was 75 degrees.

If ppl are ok with a QD that doesn't contain protection/cleans well, then I put S&W up there with D114/QNR/DPRW&G as a QD and Clay Lube.

Ironically, I find it more of a "pure" QD than CG V7 or Megs UQD (never tried BFWDPS).

A true detail spray will amp the paint a notch or two over a waterless wash, spray wax, or even ONR. I've tried a few but I like Megs final touch. By the gallon its great value.

What's great about M34 FI -- apart from its multiple uses -- is that it neither adds gloss, nor removes existing gloss. To me a QD shouldn't be a LSP topper. D114 is similar, and even more cost-effective.

I would have to agree on all the Meguiars suggestions BUT other than the D114 I say your best bulk bet is ONR. Bob proved that 114 is more cost effective but I sure do like the ONR at QD strength and you can use it inside the car too (As I am sure you could with 114)

•As much as I like products such as Meguiar's M34, D155, D156...Nowadays I'm wanting much more economical QDs/Detail Sprays.

•For that:
-I use Meguiar's D114 @ 1:128.

-That's 128 gallons of QD/Detail Spray for (currently) $32.00.

-That's $0.25 (twenty-five cents) per gallon, for a QD/Detail Spray:

A QD/Detail Spray that will perform as...IMHO...a true detailer should: "Clean" (detail)...without leaving anything behind that will interfere with vehicles' LSPs. :xyxthumbs:

Help me out bob how do you figure out what 1:128 means in oz?

For mixing up Meguiar's D114 @ 1:128 ratio:

•One (1) ounce of D114...mixed with:

•One Hundred Twenty-Eight (128) ounces [or: One (1) gallon] of water---preferably distilled water.

To add, Enviro One has a great dilution calculator--put in dilution ratio and size of container. Just google and you will find it pretty easy.

The best thing about products like that? I buy DI water in clear gallon jugs from the pharmacy or Wally's. All I do is pop the cap, measure an ounce or two of D114 or ONR with the Pro Blend Proportioner, and pour it in. Sharpie on a piece of tape lets me know what is in the jug.
