what do you use for interior?

I really want to try Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer because it cleans and protects in one step and it works on the whole interior including leather, but excluding carpets of course. It's also readily availabe OTC and cheap - $6 for 16oz.

Its a great product, but not aimed at heavy cleanup. I got a sample bottle from Meg's and I still have some left.

while I just started this thread and its fresh on my mind has anyone ever tried Megs #40? Is it any good? It seems like it would be good stuff and the price implies it as well.

Meguiars makes a vinyl leather rubber CLEANER, which is called #39. There is a huge difference in the cleaning ability of both products. If the surface is just a little dusty, #40, but if there is grime or oil, ect, then you should use #39. I've used both. Lately I've been using Griot's garage Interior Cleaner, which is the best.

another vote for both Einszett Cockpit Premium and Poorboys Natural Look

DP cleaner and DP protectant -good stuff all around. Leaves a nice finish behind without being oily. OP+ is also nice

:whs:

DP leaves a nice finish. Leaves more of a matte finish then shiny, which is what I love.

ONR at QD ratio. Cleans great on almost everything! Folex for seats and carpet.

For med/light cleaning I use Folex on everything minus leather. Then break out Optimum Protectant Plus I really can't say enough about this stuff. I love the light leather scent left behind as well.

Leather Cleaning:

8 parts distilled water to 1 part Woolite. Worked like a charm inside am SUV that is loaded with 3 dogs anywhere and everywhere. :righton: A good friend advised me about cleaning leather like this the other day. I advised him IT is the bomb. The stuff I used in the pass could not touch what the woolite and distilled water did and it was EASY and quick.

My $.02

Clean with steam or woolite/water, dress with Meg #40 or FK 108. Used Danase Nu Finish yesterday and I really like this product as well.

Speaking of the Poorboys Natural Look, would it be good for coated leather also?

From the product description page I would think so.

I am told it will work, but I prefer Einszett Leather Care which is one of the few leather cleaners expressly offering it was designed for finished leather coatings.

Ahhh sweet! Because I've never been 100% sure on which Leather products are intended for coated and uncoated leather, people are always talking about them, and the manufacturers are always describing things, but I've not yet heard one specifically say "designed for finished leather".

I always knew you could use 303 but I didn't really want to use that.

Thanks for the info,
Matt

Leather Masters is another one designed for coated leather. We hope (and nag) AG will carry it one day.

Leather Masters as well? I always assumed it was for unfinished leather but that people used it on finished leather and were lucky that they had good results.... hahaha, maybe I shouldn't assume.

Thanks.

I currently use zaino leather cleaner and conditioner. This stuff smells great! The cleaner is a pain to use as the sprayer is terrible and the quantity doesnt go a long way. I have been getting alot of vehicles lately that have really bad leather. Is it safe to use an APC on the leather mixed about 10-1 as long as I condition after or is this bad for the leather? Just looking for something easier to use and a little cheaper for these kinda jobs. Thanks

You know what I do? If the leather is bad enough... I use APC in addition with a magic eraser....... BE CAREFUL though..... use on inconspicuous area then try it. For new or average.... I just use the APC diluted 10:1 or even higher than that to clean the dirt off and give it that new flat look again.... and it will not hurt it either. I have had exceptional results and keeps your wallet happy. BTW- I use Zaino on my car also.... but only for it! lol.... way to $$$ to use on every clients cars.... they love the smell of my APC anyways....
