Hi Guys,

I am newbie to detailing, i just detail my own cars, and I just ordered Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner Plus D103 and besides AutoGeek Product description and usage for Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner Plus D103, is it safe to use it for car washing? Any thoughts or recommendations? do you use it for wheel cleaning? is better than other wheel cleaners?

Thank you.

I use it 10-1 for inside door panels and dash with warm water. And 4-1 for tires and wheel wells.

I have also used it for those stubborn areas in the door jambs, as well as the applications listed above.
It's a great product.:xyxthumbs:

Cleaning up the counter tops around my deep fryer. Nothing beats it! :p

Also door panels, leather, wheels etc.

Engine cleaning, wheels & tires, and really bad interiors

I use it mainly for interiors now. I originally bought it for the tires/wheel wells but it doesn't foam at all.

I bought it for interior cleaning, carpets and for use as a general APC.

I find that I prefer OPC for most automotive projects, however I still use APC+ for carpets at 1:10+ dilution and for light cleaning to remove old interior dressings and dust. I found that couldn't get the interior door panels really clean with APC+, which cleaned right up with OPC on an older Honda. I was actually quite surprised there was such a difference.

It works ok on wheels and tires, but I prefer other products. Even at 1:4, APC+ didn't get tire dressings and that brown sludge off as well as OPC. I also found OPC to be a better cleaner inside the engine compartment.

I still use APC+ on wheel wells since it seems to be less expensive than OPC. I use APC+ at 1:4 for cleaning problematic compound and polishing pads that won't come clean. I've used it around the work bench to clean up as well.

I just wanted to share my opinion on cleaning wheels.

If it's just light brake dust that has accumulated on rims that are protected with wax/wheel sealant, a "wheel cleaner" is unnecessary and will just strip your protection. I use car shampoo in my "wheel bucket" and a light brushing. IMO Wheel cleaner products should be reserved for when they are actually needed. :xyxthumbs:

:iagree: Once I use a wheel cleaner (or APC), I plan on reapplying a wheel sealant. Otherwise, a bucket with diluted car wash shampoo, a few brushes and a dedicated wheel mitt/sponge are normally all that is necessary.

I use regular APC for tires, wheel wells and very stubborn bugs.

Never tried APC+, as I heard it sucked, haha.

APC+ 4:1 with a steamer!!! no dirt will win. Never tried OPC but I see KC's awesome post's always have massive turnarounds using it.
