What do you use to apply your favorite tire dressing? And what is it...?

I hate dressing tires so I use Tuff Shine or Dry Shine Coatings. The Dri Shine has been on the Ford for 4 months and it is time to re-apply now. The Tuff Shine has been on the Audi for a month now. I wash the wheels, coated, with Element 119 System X, and the tires with car wash and that is all I need to do. I use the LC tire dressing applicators or Tuff Shine applicators. Both are great for me.

I like to use PERL 1:1 in a small spray bottle. I feel like it applies to lettering and ribs on tires a little better & I can dial up/down the gloss easier.

For applicators I like using

costs me about $1.80. They don't last that long, but for the price I can live with tossing them after a few uses. The multiple sizes makes it nice for different tires (or for trim pieces). I like the brush because I use the face to wipe/spread the dressing on the larger areas & then I like the edge of the brush to help get an even finish close to the wheels. Plus the handle keeps my hands clean.

For larger tires I buy some cheap all purpose sponges from the hardware store. The ones I found are a decent density foam & I cut them up into triangle shaped blocks. Not the cleanest applicator, but it works for me.

I am glad to see you are liking the Tuf-Shine as well as I am. My only regret is I waited so long to try it. My absolute favorite product for tires hands down.

I use those brushes all the time for dressing trim pieces and wiper cowels. They work great with UTTG. I have actually been using my Tornador white for applying dressing to tires and it works really well. I even tried it on the interior and it was super quick and not much overspray. I use a H2O based dressing for the interior not sold by AG but I believe the equv would be Megs hyper. On tires I'm using Optibond till I run out. It works a lot better when sprayed out of a gun. I cut it 1:1.

Well im not using anything like UTTG or PERL atm...
Im just using the normal tire dresses... like DP Tire gel, Pinnacle Onyx <~ Man it smell SO GOOD... but i dont like it the fact is liquid....
And most of all all these tire dresses seem very oily.. and i always have to wear gloves to apply it... and afraid of sometimes accidentally touching my tire even when is dry...

So im going to try out PERL in my next order... (Hopefully this coming friday with like a 20% off Lol)

I currently like Mothers FX Tire Shine - a bit more sheen than some people may probably like (I like it though), but nothing over-the-top like some silicon-based clear goop dressings. The sheen doesn't last that long, but it does leave a black satin finish which look pretty good and lasts a couple of weeks. I use a cut-up car wash sponge to apply.

+2 - I use it for 303 protectant on trims.

For tires, I just use a grout sponge. I hate applying this thick purple gel stuff. I tried paint brushes/foam applicators/towel. Went back to the sponge.
