What do you use to strip your cars wax?

Citrus Wash (such as p21s total auto clean), any APC, or fine polish/paint cleaner. Dawn tends to dry out rubber's and plastics so i dont like to use it.

I had this same question the other day. I ended up buying Mothers Pre Wax Cleaner. Used it with my DA and worked great! Made the paint super smooth. Seem to rid the paint of contaminants that clay wouldn't remove. Got it for about $8 at the local Pep Boys store.

I looked up P21S on the store site and it didn't say how it's used. Is this a wash or something you have to apply with an applicator? I'm looking for a the same type of product.

Can those be used under a sealant? Or would binding problems arise.

As for OPT - my fault - I meant to refer to Optimum Power Clean.

These paint cleansing lotions are used after the wash and dry stage. You wipe them on and buff them off. I have used under sealants with no issues.

:iagree:

Plus I am skeptical that Dawn can actually remove all of a well cured paint sealants. Carnubas perhaps, but I doubt it does more than dent something like Rejex, Zaino and more.

If you really want to be positive that you are removing all remaining wax/sealant, you can use Spray 9.
