I have been using the ShMitt with Poorboy's SS&S and the two bucket method. I have no complaints.

The great Shmitt

It really looks like the Shmitt is popular. I guess I may have to put my sheepskin mitts aside and buy a couple of Shmitts. Are they really that
good?

I find that I use different ones, just depends on my mood! Love the foam gun, mostly I used the Boar's Hair with handle due to I cannot reach most of my SUV. I also love the sea sponge, sheepskin, and shmitt. I do like the Micro-chenille too, it reminds me of ghost busters for some crazy reason. :p You just never know what you will catch me with in my hands while washing the car, even the cat looks like a possible washing device!:D
As for drying I only have one tool...the big bad GUZZLER! :applause:

Exactly what I do except I don't own a boar's hair. However, our newest car gets Shmitt only.
Only one drying tool.........The BBG.

I also really like Sea Sponge.

For regular washing: Sheepskin mitts and Meguiars body brushes.
For ONR washing: Grout Sponges or MF encased sponges.

shmitt ftw...feels like you rubbing butter on you car love it

I treid the Shmitt and it was nice but I haven't used it much I just really prefer my Sheep Skin.

Wow Adams sells these at 2X the cost of AG!

One of these days I am going to have a HUGE AG order shipped to the boarder. Then I will go pick it up so I don't get killed by UPS...but atleast they are fast.

I've been using the sheepskins but I think i'm going to order a couple ShMitts since they seem really popular.

I only use sheepskins. I still don't understand how a shmitt can release grit as well (when dipped into the clean water bucket using the 2 bucket method), can someone explain it to me?

I don't have problems with grit coming off my Shmitt. It helps to have a grit guard to scrub off the grit though :). I've never had any problem with grit being stuck in my Shmitt. I only have used the wash Shmitt on my car. I have the black Shmitt for only the wheels. Some people use the black wheel Shmitt on their paint with great results. The bigger pores I guess would hold the dirt in and then the grit would be able to come off once dipped in the mitt wash bucket.

i like my micro chenille mitt...feel like i am washing my car with a fraggle...

:iagree: I have the same exact method with the Grit Guard's at the bottom of the buckets. Woot Woot for the ShMitt and SS&S! :awesome:

Just a little update...

I just placed an order for a boars hair brush. I love the sea sponge, but the BHB looks very interesting and potentially even gentler on the paint. Plus, I just seem to order stuff for the hell of it seeing that I already have more detailing supplies than I really need. Just feeding the addiction I suppose. Can't wait to try it out. :)

Black ShMitt! If you haven't tried it, you're missing out. Much easier to work with than the white/yellow one. Cleans better---faster! The other one is great, don't get me wrong, but the Black one simply works better.

I want a boars hair brush but it's pricey :( well of course you get what you pay for. There's places on a vehicle that a brush can help with where a wash mitt can't.
