I watch a variety of shows but I think the History or Discovery channel rates near the top. We also have a Discovery Health channel that films Emergency Rooms, Autopsies, Mystery Diagnosis that are particularly interesting.

Basic Cable for me - Spike, A&E, History, Discovery & Comedy channels most of the time. TV shows - COPS, DEA, Manhunters, The First 48, American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Law & Order, The Colbert Report.

After having to hurdle the kid, couch, and dogs numerous times just to switch the channel away from (enter your favorite inappropriate commercial here) while watching a hockey game or Saturday afternoon baseball, coupled with NBC deciding to show my son what a bobsledder looks like crashing into a poll, the cable went away. I now safely hide my son behind the security of Netflix.

when the commercials are on break I like to watch Lost, Discovery, and the History channels.
Action flicks are always on my list also.
