Cliff Note Version: My Karcher electric died, is it worth it to get it fixed?
Well, my Karcher electric that I bought a few years ago at Home Depot or Lowe's died the other week. The motor just doesn't run, I was using it and I moved it to a different outlet, and it wouldn't start back up. It's possible that the way I had it hooked up I restricted the water flow which might be related to the failure. It actually lasted longer than I thought it would, I figured after the first year when I used it a couple of times, the next year it wouldn't work, but I think I've had it for 4 or 5 years now.
Anyway, I was going to run down and try one of those Greenworks at Lowe's, but I do have a couple of Karcher service centers that are maybe a half-hour away...anybody have any idea how much it might cost to get it fixed? I'm figuring it's going to cost $100 and two trips to the service center, which is further than Lowe's and likely has less convenient hours, vs. one trip and $179 for a new one.
