What else do I need

your not bugging me, thats why Max and Jason put me here. More than happy to help. Its a great kit for beginners and professionals alike. As I offered offline, add some soap, clay, a sealant, and then look for some good micros (Guzzler, Ultra Plush) but dont forget the wheels and tires. They'll likely be an eye-sore after the finish gets a taste of Poorboys.

I almost bought that kit, can't go wrong with it or Poorboy's. I just bought stuff seperatley as there were certain things I wanted. I love my PB stuff  . Since Killr mentioned the wheels, maybe check into some Meg's Endurance Gell, Wolfgang or Pinnacle Gel etc. The high quality ones don't sling and leave a nice durable look. I'm using Meg's Insane Shine and like the look (especially on a white suv), but not fond of the aerosol spray delivery.

So long as you like those wheels black and shiny, you cant go wrong with Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel, love the stuff. Also would recommend the DP wheel wax to keep the rims nice and clean. My $0.02

Anything I do not need off the kit?
Did you aim that at my post? If so what I meant was there were certain products I wanted (like to mix and match) and some like the pads I had no use for since I have the Edge 2K kit. But if your looking for a good starter kit it's an excellent buy. You will love Natty's Blue Wax, even gave my white suv a nice watery look which is very hard to do on white. I'm in the computer room looking out to the driveway while I type this, just staring at that white, dripping beauty :D

Warning though, opening up Natty's Blue will give you urges to lick you paint, or eat a chunk of the wax itself ;)

LOL!! Yeah Natty's blue smells just like bubble gum! The only thing I would add to your kit is maybe some of the pad care products from the new XMT line. I would get this kit http://www.autogeek.net/xmtpadcacofs.html and don't forget a good glass cleaner too. DP's Krystal vision or Stoner's Invisible Glass. That along with your tire gel and your car will be SMOKING!!

Ay Killr! ease him in SLOWLY!! The man is already having trouble justifying his PC kit! Yes Souveran is the best, but if you want to try out a few of the products that AG offers and then later on try some more then the kit you are getting is an excellent place to start. But if you are ready to jump right in then I would get the Souveran now while it's on sale. It really is the best! But Natty's is a very good wax too. It's up to you tsgrayson how much money you are willing to spend at one time.

dont skip claying, you'll be amazed at what it can do for new cars. Use a piece of saran wrap and cover your hand. Move it across the finish. If it studders or stumbles, well you need to clay !

I think I am going to skip the PC get the Pinnacle setup and do it by hand (at least at first)

I know we have discussed more than several kits on both forums. If you have decided against the PC (bad move ... especially with black cars) then you really have only two superstars. The Pinnacle Souveran Kit or the Clearkote Hand Kit. Both contain paint cleaners that will hide some swirls, and remember black amplifys swirls.

Don't forget about a good glass cleaner, DP Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner

Get a PC, especially on black (well worth it on any color though), trust me, you'll eventually get one anyway;) . Poorboy's, Pinnacle, Cleakote....can't go wrong with any of those.

I agree, get the Porter Cable. It's a purchase you won't regret. Go with what you had planned originally. You can add some clay. It's fairly cheap and you can probably find it locally if you'd like.
