What glaze to use

Time may not be the issue...to correct, you must remove some clear and sometimes you may not want to do that.

WG Finishing Glaze is a spin off of Menzerna's polish 106FA and is filler free. WG Paintwork Polish Enhancer has some minor filling properties, but I have seen nothing do a great job. I use the PB glazes, DWG and WG PPE.
 
The PB glazes are easy to work with (as is DWG) and they easily disappear as you buff....leaving almost no residue. I do work them in with a PC, but it's easy.

You're talking about "sometimes you may not want to remove clear" .... How many times a year it's "ok" to do a polish ( so removing a thin layer or clear ) on a car ? I don't want to have a car without clear after a few years...

The PB Black hole should be applied with which pad ? Gray, blue, red ?

I too am curious about glazes. But more specifically the Megs 07 glaze. Does anyone have with experience this product? The ad says to follow with a wax, but I was curious about following with a sealant. Megs says this product uses "rich emollients and nourishing oils". I was wondering if this would cause any problems with a sealant or wax other than Megs from setting up or curing? Any streaking?

As far as removing clear, it's a tough call without a thickness meter. I now polish my cars to get 80% correction once a year and then at a 6 month interval, I use a glaze and maybe spot polish a few areas. For me, I can live with a few imperfections.

I had a 10 year old daily driver corvette that I polished (to about 90% correction) 3 times a year with a PC. The most aggressive pad it saw was the LC orange, and sometimes a compound (like Menzerna intensive polish or SIP). After 10 years (approx. 30 polishes)I could see a few spots where I had removed all the clear...around the door handles and in spots where the clear was probably thin to begin with and I over did it....even with only a PC.

I use a black LC pad to apply my glazes. JME.
 
Just to be clear, I bought the corvette new and had it for 10 years (30 polishes)...and even with just a PC, eventually you can remove too much clearcoat.....some may disagree, but that's my experience. That's where glazes come in ....to help hide imperfections rather than continually removing them. But IME none of them work great.

Although I use a grey(black) pad for glazes, the blue would work too. When I'm trying to "fill" I like the black so I can work it in some and kind of jewel the finish.
 
Use Danase with a PC and speed 6 and it will fill. Someone did a write up showing how well it fills on autopia a while back I think. Or it was DetailingBliss.com.
 
I have the DWG (Danase Wet Glaze). I really like the WGDPS,(WolfGang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant) imho the DWG was just ok. But WGDGPS is a NEW LEVEL of slickness and gloss. I will have to try the WG Glaze too!
I don't want to FILL!
