What happened to Autopia forums?

Maybe too many people thought "Glide/Block/Waffle" sounded too IKEA-esque? :surrender:
For the record though, I think you're just about right with the vintage, it was either late 2003 or early 2004 when the Autopia-branded products first made an appearance.

There is another seller now using one word metaphors for their detailing products (Glide, Clarity, etc).

Yep. Though their whole line is like that. :props:

Also FWIW that seller didn't come along too far G/B/W appeared.

Any updates on this? I had an auto-complete accident and went to the home page--got no virus warnings and did quick scans after with no hits. Home page was still touting the move to Media Temple from a few months ago, but I didn't venture any further into the site.

It's all cleaned up.They put an announcement on the forum, not the front page for whatever reason.

I respect Mike, but he's just one guy with his way of doing things. There are lots of variations on themes in detailing, so it's beneficial and educational to see how others do things as well. Just my $.02.

And anyone that's read my posts over the last 16 years knows I always recommend to people to be open to new ideas, new products and new procedures... and that includes information from multiple sources/people. :xyxthumbs:

In the end, people gravitate to the forum where they feel most comfortable and where they can either share their passion or get the best answers to their questions...

And that's why I choose AG for all my needs ! Questions, Answers, and Products !! The members and staff here are awesome!

It's such a loss. I always loved visiting the review section. I hope things turn out well though. :)

I enjoy reading the other forums, but AG gets my business and this forum the bulk of my posts. AG has figured out how to provide value to their customers other than low prices, something most internet retailers come up short on.

AG,this forum, and its members are a great resource for all of us.

For general info; Autopia is up and running this morning....

slowly picking up new threads but not near as much traffic as it used to be . maybe alot o f members moved on.

I bet a lot of people are still gun shy about returning. And are just waiting to see if the site stays secure for a while before going back.

I just peeked over there and was reading the "We're Back and Better Than Ever" or whatever it was called. Seemed no one was mincing words (management included).

I dunno...I've lost that loving feeling. Just kind of feels like getting cheated on and you don't ever feel the same way again.

I used to lurk on there all the time now I started lurking here instead. :) Seems like there is a lot more going on over here anyway.
