What Happened to my DP Wheel Glaze?

I haven’t used my DP Wheel Glaze in a while. I opened up the jar to use on my Wife’s Quest (see my other post) and it looked like something terrible had happened to my DP Wheel Glaze. No more purple glaze!

See what I mean?

What is this crud on the top? I ended up pushing it aside with a foam applicator and went ahead and used the stuff. It seemed to go on the same as it did before. Should I scoop off and discard the top? Stir it up? Toss the jar and buy a new one? Any idea what caused this?

I heard of this once before, something about moisture getting into the bottle. Cannot remember if it was from use on wet wheels, or humidity. I seal mine well and have no issues, but I suggest a contact to Meghan or Jason in the morning.

I agree, looks like mold. Usually caused by high humidity, try storing it in a cool/dry location to avoid that. I would toss that jar out and get a new one.

That does look like mold. I have been using DP Wheel Glaze for a while and I have not had that problem.

I get this due to the high humidity and heat in Brisbane, OZ, I just scrape it off and keep using it. A pain but has not affected the performance!!

gross!
sorry, just couldn't help it. besides, scott said it will be taken care of.....:o

You've neglected your wheels and made the Detail Gods unhappy. That crud is a sign that you should use your DP Wheel Glaze more often.:p

Yuck! Just gotta make sure that cap is on there good when finished with it. I didn't close up the lid on one of my polishes once and it dried into a petrified polish rock. Don, I'd toss it personally;)

Definately looks like the cap was not on tight, looks like mold to me!

I agree, it is gross. But it isn' AG's fault. I assume it is my storage problem as in I did not securely tighten the cap or maybe I got some contaminant in the jar. I think a new jar is in order.

Not a bad idea Killr!

Al, I think you may be right. I've not used the wheel glaze in a long time.

Maybe you can trade the mushrooms for a case or two.

Samething happened to me, the top was on tight and was in a climate controled room. I switched to Poorboys and have not had any problems. Also it is easier to use and looks better.
