what is a good durable wax for new car that lasts?

Thank you all for taking the time to answer my question. your help is appreciated.

I vote for a coating. There are 2 excellent options mentioned earlier, They are harder than your clearcoat and durability is amazing.

I agree with you. I went with OptiCoat on my new Acura. I am very happy with the results.

The application process is not as intimidating as it seems. If you follow the instructions, it is a really good product. I enjoy waxing, but I am also saving some money by applying this stuff instead,

What number are we on? 1312413?

+1312414 on the 845!

u said durable. 845 liquid - 476 paste . thee most durable waxes

I used DP Poly on my new truck. Looks good and went on easy. Was going to top it with Max Wax, but haven't had time yet. I may throw another layer of poly on it before winter, and top that with the max.

best part with all these fine choices, you wont spend 100.00 and you will have money left over for some good towels and detail sprays.

++ what ever the hell number we are on,coli 845 for wax.Opti-coat or Cquarzt for coatings!

Also, I would appreciate any advice on what else to use, and how soon should I wax my new car?

Thanks in advance

The two new BMW's that I worked on did not need claying. It is something that you want to check (I suggest claying your personal car then you get that one spot with rail dust, and you know it's done).
Here is a sequence:
Wash
Clay
Polish
Protect (wax)

Good suggestions on waxes by those above.

Any Zainos product will out last Collinite ( which is second best).

Buy some and compare. I did. It is also easier to use. I have them both and have used both.

If we are talking about sheer durability, 476 boasts a year of protection:

Collinite Super DoubleCoat Auto Wax #476

and for $16 a tub.

May as well throw in a bottle of Duragloss #105 while you're at it. Up to 1 year of protection and easier to use than Collinite #476, plus it's $10.99 for a bottle. For a little more you can add a bottle of Duragloss #601 to extend the DG 105.
