Hobbyist getting back in to it...

The stars are aligning and I’m about to buy a ‘fun’ car again, a 2018 Camaro 1LE in Hyper Blue Metallic, and it only has 350 miles on it!

I do have a bunch of brand new in the package pads for my Porter Cable as well as a bunch of random items. But, these random items are about 13 years old and were kept in a garage that was not temperature regulated. Could any of this stuff breakdown and loose it’s mojo???
Heres what I have...

- 4* Ultimate Paint Protectant
- Pinnacle Souveran paste wax
- Pinnacle Souveran liquid spray wax
- ‘Wheel wax’
- DP Wheel Glaze
- Menzerna Intensive Polish
- Menzerna Final Polish II
- Megs #26 paste wax
- Mother’s back to black

Should I use some of this stuff, or is the newer stuff that is available much better nowadays??? If so, can you guys steer me in the right direction...

My thought was a nice polish, followed by a sealant and then a good wax
For polish I was thinking Meguiars M105 & M205? (Or the newer M110 & 2110???)

I figure no one better to ask. I'm out of my Klasse All-In-One but I have a full bottle of the sealant glaze. I don't plan on replacing the AIO. How can I use the HGSG without putting it on top of the AIO? I'm not a fan of quick detail sprays, so I don't want to mix up your frankendetailer.

Currently Sonax PNS. Great stuff. So many good ones out there tho. DG111, Wolfgang DGPS, etc.

It’s a camaro... i’d wash it first.... drive it to the ford .... dealer and use that stuff on a mustang....

Now rhat that’s out of my system.... all the stuff is expired but does’nt mean it’s bad... you’ll have to take a look at it or find a beater or test panel to try.

My thing is i’m guessing you love your car.... why chance it. Spend the extra 50-100$ and pamper your baby.

I personally would ceramic coat it.

You can just use any normal polish as it's going to make a perfect, clean surface for ANY LSP, no problem

I'm not sure where you live, but the sealants you have like the 4 Star UPP and maybe the Meguiars #26 will probably be the most durable in a harsh climate.

I haven't used any of the products you list, but I think I'd probably apply the 4 Star UPP and then after each wash wipe it down with the Pinnacle spray wax just to boost the shine and give it that "glow" carnauba wax provides.

If you're looking to start all over with products, my sealant of choice is Collinite 845. Coatings are also a good choice, but I'd start with an easy one like CanCoat or Carpro's new CQuartz Lite and then work your way up from there.

I'm definitely going to buy new products, I was just more so posting those to show what I've used in the past

I would use Jescar Power Lock wait 24 hours then apply Colonite 845.

Favorite Sealants: PBL, WG DGPS, Mckees Hi Def, PA Master Sealant.

I’m not including SiO2 sprays or Collinites (carnauba).

Opti-Seal because like frank's hot sauce I can put that **** it on everything :). And it works well.

As far as sealants go another vote here for Jescar Powerlock.. I believe their Ultralock is Si02 infused but I haven't tried it.
For waxes I use spray wax due to how simple/fast it is to use. On spray wax the two I've used are Turtle Wax Ice and Optimum Car Wax which is now Si02 infused. Extremely simple and fast and both are very good products.
