What are people thoughts on these products? Should I maybe use something else or do these work good for people.

Thanks

I've only used their wheel cleaner and their AIO sealant (One Step Sealant), but both worked really well. A little searching here will find folks love everything from their PFM towels to their BOSS polishes and everything in between.

Any particular ones that you are interested in?

Griots makes some pretty good stuff, and their new BOSS products have been top notch.

Overall they have some great products. I have or have used..

5 gallon bucket
Wax as you dry.
Trim restorer.
All of their new towels. Wax removal. PFM drying towels. (I have the big one. Waiting to use it yet.)

Griots makes decent products. The vast majority of us own (and love) their 6" DA.

Instead of posting a vague brand question, perhaps you could state what you've used from GG (if anything) vs what you're trying to accomplish? That way we'll be able to provide better suggestions, help you spend you're $$$ :)

I've used their Speed Shine, One Step Sealant, and have no complaints. Excellent products.

I just picked up some Speed Shine towels locally, but haven't used them yet. I can tell they're top quality though.

Griots products are great. I've personally used and have had zero complaints with the following:
G21 BOSS polisher and pads
PFM drying towels
Speed shine
Best of Show detailer
3" HD backing plate
Spray on wax

I have Speed Shine and Best of show Pate Wax. Both work excellent but I don't limit myself to buying from only one brand.

Got some swirls to get out and it needs protected. Local store sells GG and thought I would give there stuff a try if any good.

They carry the speed shine, best show detailer, spray on wax , best of show wax ,cleaner wax, and the complete compound

I have their PFM towel it is great for drying the best I have ever used.

if it on AG its a good product, they wont sell crap. I have the PFM and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT, ive been eye balling the BOSS G15 but just haven't pulled the trigger yet as im not sure if I want that or the G21. I also have their BOSS creams and I like those as well. OH also their MF cutting pads are awesome

Ok good - now we're getting someplace! Do you own a DA Polisher? If not, do you have the budget for one? As mentioned before, GG 6" DA is a great machine and will help correct those swirls.

If you don't have a DA or have a budget for one. Picking out products that will get you the best results by hand is the next step.

Let us know?

No, I do not have one..... yet! I plan on getting one. Lol. No way am I doing this big ol truck by hand. Lol. Will either pick up a gg or porter cable. But seems to me the gg da is probably alittle better.

That's dedication! Given what I've heard/experienced with the GM truck (hard) clear coats, you might want to save yourself the arm trauma and get yourself into a GG 6" machine. My vote goes to the Griot's machine because it's well known to have plenty of power but be easy to learn with, and they're a top shelf company to deal with should you ever need to use their warranty.

I'm sure you've been doing your reading, but the thinner pads and even switching to a 5/5.5" pad can help speed your results.

I've been a Griot's user for a long time and have had good luck with their stuff. Speed shine is still a favorite of mine, mainly for use as a clay lube. I've used and really like their Complete Compound (which I think they do market as for use by hand, though it pairs really well with the machine). I could go on, but am curious to hear what you had in mind for budget/etc.

**Edit post - Misread your "No way I'm doing this big old truck by hand." I thought by hand was your plan!

I have their 6" DA. I trained on the Porter-Cable but I bought a 6 inch GG DA. I've used, and like , their leather treatment. But, that's it. So many products, so little time.

Overall, Griot's products are high quality. But even better, they stand behind their products and have excellent customer service.

I use the following GG products and they perform very well.

- PFM towels - the best I've ever owned
- Boss MF pads
- HD Wheel Cleaner
- Fast Correcting Cream
- MF and Pad Cleaner - great for cleaning foam and mf pads
- Black Shine Tire Gel
- G21 - just purchased and will be using it for the first time this week
- Boss Foam Pads coming...

They manufacture and bottle their products in America if that's something important to you.

I actually just spent a whole bunch of $$$ there this morning at their flagship store in Tacoma. I'm working on migrating over to all Griots products. They all just seem to work great. Pick up all the new for '17 items today and will be testing them out over the next few weeks and will do some reviews too.
