Washed the car today with Super Clean in the foam gun to strip off all the old wax/polish, planning to put on a coat of XMT360. Found these little white specs all over the top of my hood. Tried DP clay, no luck. Tried XMT360 on a small area, no luck. Tried Klasse AIO on a small area, no luck. Tried XMT3 on a small area, no luck... I'm fresh out of ideas! Anyone have a suggestion for the next step?

with out picture its hard to tell..sometimes there may be stone chips in the hood that are not visible until you polish or apply a layer of wax..the polish/wax dries in the chips...

It looks like stone chips, but one question: do you park it under a tree alot? it could be tree sap eating away your finish, but it hard to tell from your pic's. I did a MB E320 this weekend and after i polish the front and hood , alot of specks came out and they were stone chips and with the worse thing of all (rust) and the car was black. I use a mix of OC and SIP with a orange then a white LC CCS pad.........

Yea, unfortunatly its been sitting under the tree in the reflection lately... I cant imagine it would be stone chips, there arent any in the grill, just the top of the hood, the windshield frame, fenders, etc....

Would like to see better pic's, that might help us see better of your problem on the hood. I still think it's chips and tree sap thats eating away the finish, but not sure yet..........

thats some huge flake lol....jk i donno...can u feel them?

Update: I took it in to a local detailing shop, who tried a few compounds on a high speed buffer... nothing... They determined it was threw the clearcoat, and into the color stage of the paint, and that it was Aphid droppings. Which are a small albino insect that hang out on the underside of the leaves on the Sycamore tree in my driveway. Also, they all came off my neighbors car, which hadnt been washed in 9 months, because the paint was protected by the layer of dirt.... Great.... I'm not sure I feel like repainting my vehicle... :(
