What is the best tire cleaner?

I agree Groits does not work well. I have been using Mean Green for years with awesome results. Can be used for more than tires like the engine bay. I have polished an aluminum wheel then sprayed full strength with no damage. Check the link:

I buy it by the gallons from Dollar General

When I've had nothing else available, I have used Simple Green on the tires with decent results.

i know this is an old thread but i gotta admit i'm a power clean soldier. it's just so versatile.

10:1 or greater for interior, 3:1 for general exterior use, such as rockers, wells, soiled front ends, engines, etc. and full strength for tires, wheels, calipers, really dirty wells...anything that needs to be hit hard. just let it sit and spray it lightly with water to keep it working as it starts to dry. i love the stuff.

I like Power Clean as an interior, exterior trim, and tires. I actually like OPC more than APC+ as an interior cleaner. I use OPC on tires at full strength as you guys suggested. I used OPC to clean exterior facing rubber around windows and doors to take black oxidized rubber from the surface. Good stuff!

I've also recently picked up Totally Awesome which is incredibly powerful stuff at full strength. I only tried it on tires to remove everything which seemed to strip the rubber tires clean. Lots of brown sludge came off the tires with just a little scrubbing. I probably should have tried diluting it at least 1:10 and will continue to play with it.
