What is the dirtiest car you've used a waterless or rinse less wash on?

Damn. That's brave. How many towels did you have to use?

From our mild winter. Salt and dirt on black. Zero issues. Just soak it down and use some good quality microfiber folded and use one single pass per fold. A 480gsm 16"x16" towel can be folded to provide 16 pure and clean wiping surfaces. The below maybe took 5-6 towels including wheels and windows, etc.

It's kind of rare to see that type of accumulated dirt here in Socal since it barely rains, (it's actually raining today, YAY), unless it's someone who hasn't washed their vehicle in months. I do a rinseles wash every week, and it's mostly light dust. I'm not too afraid to use waterless wash, but I really really really enjoy dioing a rinseles wash with Wolfgang uber.

I think I used about 5-6 total also. Had them all folded and used every little inch of them. I was pretty impressed how well it came out!

I'm paranoid. I'll use at least 12 towels regardless of how dirty.

Nice job and yes you are brave! I don't think I would have tried that without a good hose down first. How long had the car gone without a wash, just curious.

 Not THAT soiled, that's for sure.

Probably 50-60% less dirtier than the Suby & van posted. Usually a week's worth of dust and as soon as wet weather leaves town.

For heavily soiled situations similar to above, I feel D114 is the perfect answer. Presoak the crap out of the panels (not a time to be stingy) and proceed with rinseless.

D114 for dirty jobs.
Uber for maintenance washing.

It had been awhile! Probably a good 4-5 months!! I gotta admit the wife and I's vehicles don't get done nearly as often as I would like. I spend all my time detailing everybody else's vehicles and by the time I get a chance to do my own something else always comes up. Here is a couple shots of my truck as well that got the same waterless but finished with the Pinnacle XMT 180 Carnauba hand wax.

Both of the examples are pretty brave for waterless in my book. I tried to do my black car in about the same shape as pdqgp's black mini-van a few years ago and it didn't go so well. I put the solution down heavy and used lots of towels and still ended up with healthy swirls I needed to polish out in the spring. I think the salt grit is far to abrasive and the waterless solution simply doesn't float that grit enough for one to safely remove it with a MF towel.

Key IMO is to use a 480gsm or higher towel. Fold it to get 16 clean swipes with little to no more pressure that the rag weighs.

Having a good coat of a proven LSP helps too. Dirt bonds far less to a coated surface. The van had been protected with Menzerna Powerlock topped with Colinite 845. That's my wintertime combo. I also use Blackfire crystal seal every other wash too.

Mine would probably be my wife's car that had been thru a Colorado winter! I used the blackfire wet diamond waterless wash and think it came out great! I finished it off by machine applying a blackfire AIO.

Looks great from the pictures, did you experience any scratching or sections with dirt that was really difficult to clean with your method?

I have a white accord that has old dirty accumulated. I can easily pull of the top layer of dust but there is a layer of dirt around the entire car and the Chemical Guys waterless solution I used does pull it off.

I have a white accord that had a lot of dirt grime on the paint after the dust wiped off. The waterless solution could not clean it, even with heavy elbow grease. The grime stands out on white paint. Did you ever experience this? If so, did your solution clean it off completely?
