What is the ETA on the edge pads for flex?

Actually they are in production, should not be too long.

Me too... but the more important question (to me) is, what's the ETA on my flex?!?! ;)

Wow, great news. Then, it will be possible using 4" pads with the flex, I'm right?

Guys,
We are working very hard round the clock to make this conversion system possible but I must admit it is far from done and looks to be at 2-3 months away. You can see what we have done so far and where the testing phase is but this is only to prove the system.

Then we will have to actually produce our own mold and custom parts. We are committed to this and are working to make it a reality soon for all of you Flex heads! at that time you will be able to use 4inch foam and wool, and 6 inch foam and wool on the flex.

Sorry I was thinking the System One Edge pad in the smaller sizes!:D

Then there is the cost vs. potential income issue.
If this cost $50,000 to produce and you can only sell $20,000 worth, its a non-issue.

Not necessarily so: We perfer to think of it as an investment in our pad business not adatper. If we don't make an adapter for the Flex and it becomes the most popular model for buffing and our pads don't mate with it, we stand to lose alot of pad business which is the bulk of our sales. When evaluating the costs we factor in this as well.

Aaron..you could make a 6" Edge classic type pad with a recessed center to fit the flex plate also that would auto center also since Flex uses just one type plate..I still use my Edge classics and love them...

Al,
Please have the bug removed from our conference roomIm the MAN(ahhahah)
We have already been working on that before we even started the adapter project because of the difficulties with making the conversion. We are hoping to launch that in a month or so as well regardless of when the conversion to the Edge2000 system is done!

HAHA..I need bugs out there....need to know the scoop on new stuff....see we think alike....that idea of the recessed pad seems like a perfect product...a 1 1/2 inch thick pad...with a 1/4 in recess is ideal...the thickness will give the flexing on contours since the Flex plate is rigid

send me one when its done..LOL....
