I am trying to help out my disabled neighbor. He only has full use of one arm, the other arm suffers from some nerve issues. He wants to take the swirls out of his black Ford. I have offered to do it for him for no charge, but he insists on doing it himself.

I am going to let him borrow my PC for the job, and teach him some basic stuff about how to use it and technique.

I was wondering what the most forgiving polish is that I could recommend he purchase? His car is pretty well maintained, with just some moderate swirling. I wouldn't want to recommend something and have him spend all day polishing only to come out bad.

Here is a picture that is the level of swirling.

OTC, cheap, foolproof

This sounds like good advice.
I would just add that when I was looking for a bubba-proof polish to satisfy my inner bubba, I chose Optimum Hyper Polish and have had no regrets. No dusting, easy to remove.

I think m205 will do it. At least 85% better results. Sonax Perfect Finish will for sure do it, but it's way more pricey than m205. Orange pad on either

For a one step you might want to look into HD Adapt. Cuts like a mild compound, but finishes like a polish. Easy to use--no dusting, wipes off easily, long working time.
