Yesterday I helped a friend buff out his 1995 Mustang. Pretty big turn around from what we started and my 5th car that I've done since I bought my Griots.

My question is I bought chemical guys V38 polish a while ago and every time I have used it, I fail to see the difference between 205 and this. Is it just me? I have heard both good and bad reviews on CG lineup of polishes. Also I apply the V38 with a white ccs foam pad. Do you need a finish polish after 205?

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Most of the time you don't, but you get some soft paint that would look better with a fine polish after 205.

205 finishes almost LSP ready, but a finishing polish is good if you want to bring up the gloss (such as PO85rd) and remove any hazing/marring that could be left from 205

when you are dealing with dark or soft paint.... you'll know what the purpose is. trust me. cant get the job done with something even slightly aggressive.

Thanks for the replies. It makes sense I just haven't dealt with a car with super soft paint but my friend has a WRX that I'm sure I can try it out on. As far as the mustang I had to use a surbuf to get about 90% correction. That was some hard stuff.
