A friend of mind is managing a high end detail shop in AZ (Bentley, MBs, etc.) I asked what they are using for a sealant on those. He said, Interceptor 3.

Anyone heard of that? I can't even find a Google answer.

It's nothing special I assure you

Stick with Meguiars and you'll go far!

Welcome to autogeek I bet its nothing special though begin here you'll discover products, trick, etc that will get you the wow factor and everytime so enjoy your stay

Thanks all. I've been lurking here for months.

I have already moved through Meguiar's NXT, to Ultimate, and now on Duragloss 501, 105, 111, etc. Along with a PC and LC pads. On a metal lake black Camry.

The Meguiars is now for my wife's 2007 Corolla until it runs out.

That Interceptor is (guessing) some CarBrite stuff, which doesn't thrill me.

Duragloss offers many fine products. I'm curious to hear what you think of them and maybe a photo or two of your Camry....

Nothing offered by a dealership can hold a candle to the products offered through Autogeek...:props:

Don't I know it!! I just saw it this morning at a body shop. I had to take the wife there to pick up her Corolla and had not wiped the rain of the Camry. Although most had blown off, the rest was incredible beading.

Up pulls a guy with a new (1000 miles) Kia that had hit a deer. Some "micro" beading, but no dripping or roll off. All I could say to the guy is, "Too bad the dealership doesn't deliver a vehicle that looks like the showroom."

Here's a picture of how the reflection is. I'll do full photo when I get "weather" here.

Just one with the phone. Car is black metallic--not blue.

Is that an Australian Cattledog I see there?

Yep! With a frisbee in his mouth LOL. Rescued from the pound 2-years ago right before they were going to put him down.

DG result

Two coats 601/105, followed by one of 601/111. Two weeks ago. Occasional FCS (with 10% AW).

It has been sitting out untouched with two days of pollen and dust. This is after last night's rain. Just have to love DG.

(The lights and mirrors have Llumar clear bra; coated with 601/111.)

Here it is yesterday. SO, almost three weeks later. It sits out 24/7.
This after local spray wash place. (Some of the areas would NOT take their soap first pass--it beaded and sheeted.) Dried with FCS+10%AW.

Plastic and tire walls with Aero 303 (wheel wells and tread are after drive home.)

I wound up with a comparison yesterday. A friend drove up with a "dealer sealant" freshly washed car.

The easiest to compare is the back doors. And, black compare to white pearl may not be fair, but it is visible.

I did run my fingers lightly across A-pillar and fenders. 1. IMO needs clay. I am betting they don't do that first. 2. Not near as "slick" feeling.
