I have been reading feedback on different threads and post about certain products are better on solid colors and other products are good on metallics. What if you had both?....I have a H-D that is black with silver metallic flames....and I have a S-10 that is black and blue metallic....Just love to hear different thoughts on the subject.....:buffing:

Best thing to do is do a test spot on both and see how it comes out. Then you can go from there.

this is more of an detailing 101 section thread, however, test out products to see not only what looks great, but is also great to work with, maybe a layering two waxes/sealants etc would be suited towards you.

bikeride4fun the way I read your post you are looking for product recommendations. My take is simple 90% of your gloss is going to come from polishing. The 10% is wax or sealant. Glaze works well for daily drivers because they take some abuse.

If I'm on the right track my preference still is M105/205 & Col845. Recently I tried CG BL/V07 and really liked it. I've always found detailing bikes tedious because of all the tight places and chrome. Small pads 3" & 4" will be your friend. Get ready or some manual detailing as well. All the above products will work well on both vehicles.

Test spots are fine but with a bike..... unless you have a very well trained eye you are not going to tell the difference between products. Over time your product preferences are going to change anyway so as that "eye" develops you will have already tried a few different product mixes and approaches. Keep it simple. Rmagnus has it right. The prep is more important than the finishing products.

It was just something I was curious about.....thanks for all the feedback....
